Training to become a pro logi pilot - where and how?

Ok,

I am aiming to become a solid, reliable Oneiros pilot for Incursions and small gang pvp. Skill training is easy, that I can do. I have also relevant fleet experience on my main. What I don't know is how to fly logistics ships in practice. Theory can be read, but actually doing stuff is different. So the question is - where can I get experience?

I'm still over a month from flying a decent Oneiros, so I'm limited to the Exequror. Could I fly it in the Uni, or RvB? I think I'm only compatible cheaper T1 fleets for the moment.

Of course, any other tips & tricks much appreciated - thanks!

Just fly an Oneiros in an incursion. It's not that hard and will give you some cursory experience.

Confirming fling the ship is the best way to learn how to use it,

-Train up your oni
-Run with 3 oni in a fleet or 2 guardians 1 oni just to get your feet off the ground before you start going with the normal duo

You'll be competant in no time atall.

-Adamia

You cant outrun death forever, but you sure can make the people trying to kill you work for it.

Ok, sounds like I'm overcomplicating the issue. I've flown in RR fleets and have a year's worth of cap managing active tank and overheating, guess doing the logi thing isn't that much harder.

Cheers for the answers, I'll chill for another month and then try to get in Incursion fleets with the Oni.

its actually easier in a logi because cap mistakes are rarely fatal thanks to either generous regen or cap xfer from another logi.

Rarely fatal for you, your gang mates might see it otherwise...

There's surprisingly little to it tbh.

1) Keep an eye on range.

2) Remember that armour reps give HP at the end of the cycle and shield reps at the beginning of the cycle.

3) If someone is holding easily (full armour bar) try taking some reps off them. The less reps on them the more you have free for other people (decycling a rep takes time).

The only part that takes much attention is coordinating with other logis, so you don't over-rep someone while neglecting someone else. If you are flying in a logi squad, it is nice to have a competent squad leader to direct reps somewhat.

FW is always in need of good logi pilots. They endless pvp will also give you a trial by fire, so you will either get better or lose alot of ships. Best way to learn in eve is facing the barrel of a gun.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

I've actually considered FW before, that sounds like a good option.

Any recommendations for a Gallente corp I should try to approach?

Remember logi is not a front line ship, and some self awareness/ thinking for your self is needed, keep to the back of the fleet and operate a bit more individually than what the FC says
