Where to get criminal dog tags?

I am a bit lost with the dog tags required for the data centers agents.

I have hardly seen 3 ou 4 of them since I play the game and each agent require 20 of each type.... Damned.
Are there special complexes to find, let's say a Serpentis Silver Tag?
Or is it a very very small chance of drop with each Serpentis ship killed?

Speaking of that, what is the purpose of these dog tags beside the data centers and special COSMOS agents?

Thanks.

small chance of a drop with each rat you pop, some missions better than others and also belt rats

best way is to put a buy order up in a region or just pony up for a set in a hub

besides the datacenters and re-selling some of them that are valuable they recycle quite nicely Big smile

Umm . . . all Pilots sometimes drop tags . . .

Best bet to drop a tag . . .
A mission runner (look for someone with +5 standing flying a domi/raven)

Next best bet to drop a tag
Transport/freighter

Player flagged as pirate . . . Any pirates out there want to comment on how often they carry tags in their hold?

The criminal Dog tags are found in ABUNDANCE near the systems where they are turned in to Data Center agents.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Data_center

i.e, Sansha Tags are easily findable in Amarr (system) Market, etc.

Go get 'em....................

The fastest way to acquire Pirate Tags is from the market, though it can get expensive.

Some LP store items include Pirate Dog Tags in the price to redeem that item.

Pirate Dog Tags used at the Data Centers are usually found in Elite Pirate NPC wrecks. The Tags are mainly gained from completing various exploration Cosmic Signature combat sites, sometimes are gained at Cosmic Anomaly combat sites or Asteroid Belts and are rarely gained in regular missions. DED sites also contain NPC's that drop Pirate Dog Tags.

Last time I checked COSMOS constellation belt rats had a much higher drop rate of tags than other rats. It might have been a statistical blimp or it might have been deliberate though so don't take my word on it and go out and check if you want them.

That might be true.

However, I never noticed it while running Cosmos Agent missions. Some of the agents have you searching asteroid belts looking for various strange items.

Also if you look at all of the Data Center Agent mission briefing's, they all say the same thing. Go search through the asteroid belts in that and neighboring systems. Unfortunately the only Tags you'll find will be Copper and Bronze, maybe Silver if lucky. I found low security belt rats had Brass and Palladium, some Gold if lucky.

While running various exploration sites and expeditions, I noticed they frequently drop a large variety of the tags that are used for the Data Centers.

In trying to accumulate my own 'tags', after 8 months I have a total of 10 found Sansha copper and 2 bronze. That's all.

Better to buy off the Market (otherwise you will never get to 20) from folks who have run the appropriate sites in Null.

Mind though that completing one of the racial Data Canter paths for standings, and BUYING all the tags, WILL cost well over 600,000,000 ISK.

And what were you doing for those 8 months, missions? Ratting in belts?

It was just a simple question with no malice intended.

There's really no need for you to get bent out of shape towards me just because it took you 8 months to find 12 tags.

Anyway, doesn't matter since your response is nothing more than a troll reply.

running the oh-so-boring high-sec anomalies in the regions with whatever rats you want tags from seem to work fairly well, from just doing some anoms when im to lazy to do anything else ive stacked up a few in just a couple of days, smells like way faster than 12 over 8 months to me anyways.

Why ask ? You KNOW when and how those Tags are found.....and you KNOW how these forums are.

I did around 4-5 hi-sec anomalies and found two pirate tags in an hour. Anomalies seem to provide a good dorp rate.

After some hours I agree that anomalies are the best sites.
Nearly all of the commanders I have met gave me a dog tag.
One of them was even kind enough to drop a slave implant.

Anyway it is purely a matter of luck. Buying tags on the market is much more efficient Lol During the time I spent doing anomalies I would have earned more ISK doing missions, even counting the commanders drops.

So:
- Efficient = make ISK with missions, buy tags.
- Fun = run anomalies and DED

I'll stick to a mix of two.

Thanks for your answers Smile

Just ignoring him - as I'm sure you've realised - is the best possible policy.
