Changing roles for Caps/Super Caps..

I would like to see all caps buffed, but not in the way that people think. More about unlimitting them rather than pigeon holeing them. Right now fits are pretty limited. Why not remove limitations from Titans?

Nerf for Titans... Remove the ability to fit XLarge weapons. Damage that Titans used to do with XLarge weapons is then added to DD for a buffed DD with a faster firing rate. DD is now a cap/supercap and structure destroying weapon

BUFF for Titans... Titans can now fit every other mod in the game with no limitation. Allow titans to fit all the warefare links they have slots for. Allow them to fit Remote ECM bursts and HIC bubbles

Buff Super Carriers. All Super Carriers to fit everything as above.

Dreads... 7 XLarge weapons. Dreads can now do what Titans were doing that people hated.. Blapping sub caps. Dreads now become the ship to have for fleets. Large numbers of Dreads should be able to easily devastate subcap fleets which are not supported by their own cap/super cap fleet. Siege mode is changed to only affect offensive skills and not defense abilities. Dreads can then be repped and recieve cap transfer while in siege mode

Nerf to all caps/supercaps... EWAR now affects them all as normal. These ships should be buffed in the appropriate stats to accommodate... I firmly believe that these ships should have larger warp str (such as 4-5) and sensor str so that EWAR would have a hard time locking them down but at the same time large numbers of EWAR would still counter them

With these changes I believe that fleet warfare would become more balanced... it would no longer be all about fielding large numbers of 1 size fits all... large numbers of any type of ship would be off balanced if not supported by other types. Dreads wouldnt be able to shoot for very long with out carriers providing cap transfer and reps. Titans would be needed to kill large cap/super cap fleets. Sub caps would be usefull for EWAR and/or killing caps.

What do yall think?

I like the idea of buffing dreads. I'd prefer to just see them do more dps while out of siege than they do currently, though. If dreads did ~2500 dps while unsieged they'd be a decent BS counter. Leave them with traditional siege mode though, which allows them to immobilize and switch roles to "high-dps cap/structure graper."

Supercaps losing ewar immunity would be mostly good, however I might add an exception for POS ewar mods so that supercaps can continue to drop lazy peoples' caps / JFs on cyno beacons. I'd also give them high warp strengths-- maybe ~25 points-- so that one random frigate can't hold them down but any kind of concerted effort could.

Re: titan nerf... I hate doomsdays. They're a terrible mechanic and should be removed, not buffed. I'd rather see CCP remove DDs and leave titans as a big, gang-boosting gunboat or find a completely new role for them. Death to DDs.

I'd agree with the goon. With the new Scan res of 5, the now limited Doomsday might as well be dumped. They aren't allowed to hit structures, you need too many to take down other supers and Fighter bombers are a better option. Titan is dead.

The idea is that they would not have the current nerf installed on them and instead getting properly balanced.

Edit:... I forgot as one of the reasons i said fit every other module... why cant titans fit bomb launchers?? imagine if Titans could fit 2-3 bomb launchers? (j/k)

Titans aren't dead, they just haven't been properly repurposed yet.

I'm quite sure CCP doesn't want to get rid of them entirely, they're just looking for a proper niche that doesn't make them totally OP. Hell, the ability to fit jump portal generators alone gives them a useful role for now.
