There are 5 t1 bses with 8 turret slots, 0 with 8 launchers.
There are 2 t1 bses with 7 turret slots, 0 with 7 launchers.

What's up with that?

It's a throwback to the days when torps didn't require the support of ship bonuses, webs, and painters to apply dps on anything smaller than a parked barn.

OMFG, battleship weapon needs support to aplly full damage to targets with smaller signature. What's next? Guns that won't be able to apply full damage past their optimal? WHEN THIS MADDNES WILL STOP?

Well, with such a generous range on torps un-rigged, I can certainly see why they had a harder time hitting targets un-assisted in that range than any turret. I mean, it's only reasonable. Lets face it, if javs didn't have ravens moving at the speed of continental drift, we would have caldari victory fleets crossing the galaxy as we spoke.

Bombers are in no way an outlier, every ship that uses torps is fine. Yep.

Ed: No wonder caldari capitals are so popular. They have very similar advantages.
