multiple instances of this launcher cannot be run from the same director. this instance will now close.

Also, can we make that splash screen not always on top? that's terrible annoying.

Im sure it makes patching easier for all parties involved, but i tend to play the game more than i patch. Is there a way to skip the launcher and only use it when updates are necessary?

Hasn't made patching easier for me! When I get the message saying EvE will close and the update process begin I instantly get an error message because the stupid launcher is blocking the update process and has to be killed.

In the top-right of the launcher window there is a little wrench thingy. It opens up the settings. In one of the tabs you will see 2 options relating to the launcher, both check boxes. One of them says something like "Only boot the launcher when there is a patch" and the other one "don't keep the launcher around after the game starts".

If you are on a mac I hear these settings aren't there or don't work.

Other option is to execute the /bin/ExeFile.exe file instead. This will bypass the launcher.

Er.. Already coverd above me.

But..

I run 2 instances and can launch them both at the same time, wait like a min (some weird eve loading glitch but it always works) and boom.

Any time I knew there was a patch available, you always only launched 1 client untill the game was updated. Running 2 when the old updater had to run was a friggin cluster of poo.

You will also always need to do individual client updates when they are offered ingame for each client.

(Also assuming you run multiple clients using Junctions and not the much more messy and wrong method of multiple installs)
If I helped you out, Technical Issue, enemy gank, popped your poor fit, hit the "Like" button.

Use the option inside the launcher

mark the option on do not load the launcher when there is no update

mark the option close launcher when the game starts

And if you dont want to have upload because for some reason you lag or have small internet mark the delete patch afther update... < however when there is something wrong or broke a file you need to download the patch again..
