Can't login after patch!?

Greetings Everyone, I cranked up eve online from the applications folder, I see that it is patched up and the PLAY button is ready to be pressed.

So I press it.

I very briefly see the CRUCIBLE splash screen for all of about 1-2 seconds.

Nothing else. Back to desktop. I spent HOURS last night patching it up, then during the patching process about 10% into it, there was error message, something about a problem installing the patch or some such. So I rebooted the Mac.

I tried to patch it up again by re-started the client only to be met with the PLAY button ready to be pressed. The rest you know, I press it and then CRUCIBLE splash for 1-2 seconds and back to desktop.

Any help please?

Trash the application support folder for Eve Online and it will probably be good. It's a pain in the arse since you are going to loose all of your settings, but setting up my client (window positions, importing overview, gfx settings) has seem to become a regular process to play Eve.

/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Eve Online

If you are on Lion and do not see the Library folder for your user account run the following command in the terminal

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

Thank you Zotlkos, I'll give this a shot. And cheers for showing me how to bring up the library in Lion, it was indeed hidden.
