A CSM that represents EvE Players

According to CCP's 2010 Q4 Economic Newsletter 79% of EvE players play in high security space. Unless that figure has drasticly diminished it would seem that the vast majority of EvE players are not nullsec players and will not benefit from nullsec changes championed by a nullsec CSM. With that said is it really surprising that the majority of EvE players don't bother voting on a council that only represents roughly 11% of the player base, of which a considerable chunk are members of a troll alliance that dominate the council?

CCP 2010 Q4 Economic Report Sorry for some reason it wouldn't let me post this in the previous post, I wish CCP still published these.

NPC corp members like yourself aren't real players, they're just alts who want to evade wardecs, both in-game and on forums - in turn degrading the quality of the game (lowering the EvE competitive bar down to lossless isk/commodity injection) and forums (bad altposter threads lowering the chance of honest debate over changes in game). So any attempt at making 'a CSM that represents EvE Players' must come by removing the vote of EVE non-players ie: yourself.

In short, ban NPC forum alts from CSM forums.

This is why EvE Online will forever remain a niche game, too many elitist players who think the 88% majority of the player base doesn't even matter. For all the hard work CCP puts into this game in the end it's a minority element of the player base itself that keeps many new potential customers away.

i think you'll find that 79% of the eve playerbase doesn't know what the CSM is

in fact they don't know much of anything other than "warp to belt, approach veldspar, mine"

Dear CCP:

We, as an apparently massive majority, are entirely too lazy to field candidates that can represent us, and we're far too lazy to read through the platforms of any non-bloc candidates to find out if they will actually help us. Therefore, we ask, nay, DEMAND that you hand us representation for no actual discernible reason other than "we want it". We swear that our laziness and apathy will end the moment we get candidates. Honest!

Love,
Alt Corp Publords Quasi-United

And on that note would any CSM candidates like to come forward and let us know how you intend to represent the highsec majority?

If you could be bothered to read candidacy threads, you'd know how at least some of them do. You can't, though, so outside of the totally desperate fringe candidates, don't expect much of anything.

I have, but I would like to see some relevant information and not just more goon spam posted, which the forum seems to be plagued with lately. By the way why do people call Goonswarm members goonies? You're not goonies you're goons, another name for a common thug.

I'm running trying to represent that majority. Sadly the forums are not the way to make that happen.

If you believe there should be a high sec candidate in the CSM please spread the word in game. Tell your friends to vote, tell your friends to tell their friends. The only chance to gain a CSM candidate to represent that majority will happen organically in game!

Please help spread the word!

The CSM 7 could very well be the most important CSM to date. Large power blocks stand to once again dominate the agenda of the CSM 7 with focus on null sec and "end game" Eve experiences. I want to make sure the huge numbers of players living in high sec and in particular the miners of Eve have a voice in the CSM 7! Elect me to be that voice!
Thank you, you have my vote.

And on that note, would you tell us what kind of super duper specific representation the "highsec majority" needs ? To wear a special hat ? To be never ever visited any 0.0 system ? To promise to put Mittens into a jail because of ice games ?

Personally I would like to see fresh highsec content added, perhaps an expansion that focuses on industry and new content that appeals to the casual demographic. I would also like to see what's on the other side of my CQ's door, and continued optimizations made to WIS content that will allow more people, not just those with powerful graphics cards, to use it.
