Playing on one client. Internet working as intended.

I launch second client and I get the following error:

"No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher."

... and no way to even get an eve client up and running.

CCP, is this working as intended? heh

... and now suddenly and magically it works again?

CCP, how about NOT requiring some other weird new server to be up (with your up time record this is just insane) for launcher to function?

Please!

Seems like a few hickups on their end the last few days as I have had issues with both the Forums and a few other update pages and such. Lots of work going on behind the scenes.

You have to just keep trying. As the above post, it took me four tries to get in. There is a launcher update which needs to run...

open cmd prompt

type ipconfig /flushdns

it fixes that issue for me

Make sure your firewall IPS/IDS is not blocking it. I got a false signature detection alert for: 87.237.39.166 As "ET Clickfraud List Delivered to Client" with my Snort Running on PFSense which starting blocking CCPs servers. Re-running the launcher from the folder after I cleared the Snort block allowed the launcher to run normally.

Here are the signature detection events from my log files for every time I tried to start the launcher:

1 1 TCP ET TROJAN Clickfraud List Delivered To Client A Network Trojan was Detected 87.237.39.166 80 -> 98.XXX.XXX.XXX 50695 1:2014149:1 03/17-01:20:13
2 1 TCP ET TROJAN Clickfraud List Delivered To Client A Network Trojan was Detected 87.237.39.166 80 -> 98.XXX.XXX.XXX 5556 1:2014149:1 03/17-00:48:38
9 1 TCP ET TROJAN Clickfraud List Delivered To Client A Network Trojan was Detected 87.237.39.166 80 -> 98.XXX.XXX.XXX 52785 1:2014149:1 03/16-11:53:43

If it reoccurs I may add a whitelist entry for that server.

ISP problems reported in my area. Weird problems though, seems selective, as most internet sites work fine, just a small group that don't work.
Ended up having to uninstall eve then download the files individually. Works now.

There is something wrong with the handshaking of the launcher or something in the patches, my firewall clamped down again.

I correct myself. Not working, still. Can't get eve running at all. Same error message. Select other internet sites inaccessible. Wondering if this has to do w/ the ISP's crackdown on malicious/pirating users....??? This logic is derived from the fact that only certain sites are blocked/inaccessible.
Weird. I wonder what's up w/ all this.
Electronics suck. We should go back to sticks, stones, and smoke signals.
