Wednesday morning with like half of Rote Kapelle on the same flight. I feel bad for any non-EVE people on that flight. I think we have something like 10 of us on it (leaving Seattle Tuesday afternoon, Icelandic Air, cba to check flight number).

Staying at RWAV. I'll be the fall-down drunk guy.

... if I get in because my plan is to slowly start training my liver for the coming marathon it has to perform already at the airport. :D

Celtic Cross is pretty much a default destination for Fanfest attendees to go and drink every evening, tweetmeet or otherwise.

Celtic Cross is pretty much a default destination for Fanfest attendees to go and drink every evening, tweetmeet or otherwise.

It's true. The Celtic Cross is a very decent bar, one of the few where it's possible to have an actual conversation up until midnight or so. But of course, you should try them all, or attend a pub crawl. There's a lot of good bars in Reykjavik that are all very different. Smile

Any suggestions re drinking *after* midnight? I'm flying in on Tuesday night, and I'd love to down a pint before heading off to bed (spending some sixteen hours en route to Reykjavik is a sure way to get your sleep pattern all askew).

Islenski Barinn is good for a quiet pint on week days, as is the Celtic Cross, The Dubliner. If you like Rock, there's Dillon.

Flying out of new york 8:35pm on tuesday, arrive in iceland 6:30am, which should give me just enough time to get checked into the hotel, grab a quick shower then head out to the golden circle tour... after that, well if I was smart i'd be getting some sleep... but of course that just means i'll wind up at a pub at some point... also... goggles, airplane, I might just have to do that actually.
