1.) launcher that is made from nothing and have few bugs... can you do it better???
2.) CCP said thats error and they will look at it when more important things are finished... you never make mistakes???
4.) Some ppl don't like changes, some like them... its more good things then bad.
5.) Ok... forums are screw up... but are much better then when they launched.

'cause QA and testing is for lamers!

C'mon don't fanboi. Or if you are then please give me the proper response for CCP changing Scourge missiles to Trauma missiles and now, amazingly enough, perhaps back to Scourge missiles.

Because Scourge missiles taste minty fresh! amiright? Big smile

Because of drama threads like this? Should be noted that CCP kept it's goal of having all kinetic missiles under the same name.

You didn't read that thread properly did you. I only 'claimed' to be quitting once ever, and I didn't mean it. Post with your main next time.

I'm happy to say that there is a really good reason for it using your CPU as it is calculating what it needs to download. It should only really be slow the first time use it and after it should be as quick or even quicker than the old patching mechanics.

The system resouces used by the Launcher shouldn't affect you when running the game as you have the option to make it close the game after starting. You also have the option to make it only show up when there is an update.

More information regarding the settings and the Launcher in general can be read here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE_Launcher

We are sending out an update to the Launcher today to resolve some of the issues people have been experiencing and we apologize to those who have been having issues getting into the game the last few days because of the Launcher. We'll keep you posted on the progress!

CCP send the guy named Cascade to address failures in EVE..

Will the fix be Imminent? Big smile

I'm still trying to figure out why they implemented the launcher in the first place. It doesn't make signing in any quicker. Nor does it add anything to the experience whatsoever. If anything it makes the game feel just like every other mmo out there, where you start the game up and are bombarded by multiple advertisements. Thanks ccp. It was really needed.

Why don't they spend their time on something useful like, being able to switch characters on an account without logging out every time. HUH CCP? HUH?! Useless tards.

After a couple weeks of not playing anything on the PC I had two games to update. One had a launcher, the other was Eve. I started them both and left them alone. When I came back the one with the launcher cheerily told my everything was fully patched and the game was ready to play. Eve told me about client update number 1 when I started it. Why is it that other games can give me updates and hotfixes without need of my continued input but eve can't? Here's hoping they get the launcher running and eve modernized a bit more.

3. Stealth 'nerf' to how bounties are paid out on belt rats. The bounties now only go to the person dealing the last blow. While this is largely a non-issue, it kills off teamwork in ratting security status up quickly. No one at CCP is able to give a consistent ruling on if this is a feature, a bug; nor if it even exists in-game at all. Despite the fact that it obviously is if you spend time to test it.

I read it's not only bounties but sec bonus as well. Big face-palm overall though.

I will gladly confirm that this is a defect and that a fix for it will be forthcoming shortly.

After a brief run of genuine excellence it seems CCP are back to their standard operating procedures....

1. Poorly coded launcher, CPU intensive for no good reason and slow at downloading patches. You don't want it? Tough.

2. Deleting player owned items including alliance tournament prizes. Prizes that took CCP a long time to actually hand out in the first place and now state will not be returned as a priority due to fanfest. This along with peoples valued collectors items the mine BPC's. They don't even have a reliable mechanism for implementing their return and when they any record of research on the items has been erased. The logs show nothing.

3. Stealth 'nerf' to how bounties are paid out on belt rats. The bounties now only go to the person dealing the last blow. 4. Terrible 'improvements' to the overview. Ship brackets not appearing till the end of the overview refresh cycle rather than immediately amongst other issues.

5. Forum / Gate notifications.

6. Etc.

It was a nice run it seems they have all too quickly forgotten what true excellence is Oops

True, but on the upside, they're dumbing down module names and ruining the ships skillpoints - so every cloud, etc

Just to be perfectly clear, Mac users do not have this option - possibly because we're still stuck with version 1.04. for God knows why because nobody at CCP is saying.

Hi, we're looking at doing a Mac patch early next week. I can't confirm that we'll be including usability fixes as you mention, it may be a patch purely dedicated to error fixing. That said, we're actively looking at small, niggling issues on both platforms.
