Incarnia = SM3, which means any old PC with a crappy video card struggled to play it.

I don't think anyone is saying "Go out and spend at least $50 on a video card", but more of an update that should have happened years ago, and one that HAD to happen.
wasnt sm3 earlier in the year? and from the data ccp collected( they might have lied about it) wasnt it only a very small percentage that was effected anyhow?
Yes. The SM3 switchover happened in Incursion 1.4 back in April, almost three months before the post-Incarna plummet in numbers.

This graphic right here. This is the one that says it all, basically.

Lets study it.

Immediatly after Revelations I = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Revelations II = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Trinity = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Empyrean Age = Steady numbers;
Immediatly after Quantum Rise = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Apocrypha = BIG Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Dominion = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Tyrannis = Raise in numbers;
Immediatly after Incursion = Raise in numbers;

That is FIVE years of successive raises after every SINGLE expansion.

Immediatly after Incarna = DROP in numbers.

So its the first time in EVE's life where the game had a massive LOSS of players immediatly after an expansion. And lets remember that this one expansion has been the one with the biggest *bling* and adversement.

I'm pretty much most people were able to read that information on that graphic.. but for those who haven't.... just putting it out there.

Hi. I was looking at the (all time) chart and noticed there were also 11 dips in the PCU since the beginning. I'm pretty much sure most people out there were able to read that information on that graphic.. but it doesn't support 'eve is dying' so they don't bring it up.

I'm starting to wonder if you even realize who your CSM representatives are or what their past EVE experiences entail?

Oops... you're right.
I didn't read that you were in Pandemic. ShockedShocked

My bad.
In that case you know EXACTLY how bots are being used to take a crap on everything nullsec related, don't you?
I take back my prior statement about you not knowing about things like how good constellations are being rented out at botting prices as well... you most certainly do don't you? Blink

Damn, you got me!!! Yes, I've been in PL since 2003. Shocked

Seleene,

Let's be honest, at the moment, the CSM appears ineffective.

At this point, I don't blame the CSM. I believe the responsibility for that perception falls squarely on CCP's shoulders. CCP needs to not only let you represent us to them, but they need to allow you to represent them to us. They need to give you a little freedom to discuss "some" of what takes place behind the "sekret" meetings. All the talk about talk at this point is doing nothing but frustrating the player base.

They also need to make it very clear what items they're introducing and producing that are directly related to CSM interaction. If the CSM is working hard and doing wonderful things for me, I want to know it!

Please remember, you have a slightly different perspective than us. You know more information than we do, and whether you choose to admit it or not, you have to realize it does alter your perception of the events taking place.

From our perspective, NOTHING is taking place but talking.

I completely understand that it takes time to develop a road map for the development cycle. But these "talks" and decisions should have been made months ago, and we should be at the point that results are coming to fruition. We should be seeing actions now, not more and more "talk".

Some of the CSM are entirely too full of themselves and some seem to be working their asses off and truly caring about the public's desires, not just about the digital power trip of a little white forum flag. But right now, all we have are empty words from both the CSM and CCP.

Unless this particular CSM is making a joke (they seem to be able to turn phrases around like a debate team champion) this is proof positive that this particular CSM has no idea what the game is about.

I am a casual gamer with 3 accounts.
This one has a 94% kill efficiency with 40B isk destroyed and 2.6B in losses.
What that's not good enough for you Mr. Pandemic Legion CSM guy #2?

EVE is not just about the people who turn it into a real life job, or a hardcore hobby. Killboard stats have nothing to do with your "awareness" of the world around you. That, and your in Pandemic Legion... who cares how many zealot blobs and hotdrops you have taken part in part in since 2004 Roll

You wear it like a medal...
It's not that hard to do.

Mentalities like that have no place on the CSM IMO.
It does not reflect the larger portion of the gaming community.

PL didn't exist in 2004. Neither did Elise. Neither did hotdrops. Zealots were rare as gold dust back then as well.

You sound pretty dumb going on like this and completely ignoring the replies I've actually taken the time to write. Calm down, go buy Alpha Protocol on Steam for 2 bucks and take the weekend off. It'll all be better on Monday.

I know that, I am avoiding the big walls of text.
(But my bad on Elise he is an 07) Shocked Same diff though...
I don't think I sound dumb at all, I think you are instead avoiding everything key in my posts and are now resorting to taking cheap stabs.

Tell me why you think WH minerals are relevant today's EVE?
Tell me why someone with 40B isk killed can't know just as much as you can about the game? You may not have said it, but your colleague there representing the CSM just did. Do you agree with his statement? Shocked

Address the harder points and stop pretending like they are not there, Mr Congressmen.

A couple weeks ago, I published a blog that's gotten a bit of attention. Today it was suggested that I toss it up here in General Discussion so it's not lost in the darkness of Jita Park. I've had quite a few EVEmails sent to me in the past week and I've done my best to answer them.

So, for those that missed it, I want to make clear my thoughts on the current state of EVE and my mindset going forward as a CSM member.

Reality Check

Have a read and think about where EVE is and where you want it to be.

Good thing you weren't incredibly late on this one. I mean, I also love to be about 3 months behind everyone else.

O.K., I confess I have been posting here with the express purpose of riling you CSM's up CoolCool

I just wanted to see if you would come back with anything of substance, and I wanted to see if you would openly address the hard questions on a public forum. You did not Cry

You avoided every single one ><
And one of you lot actually pulled my KB stats like a common forum troll.

I am more or less done here...
The CSM is every bit as broken as EVE is right now.

As I said in my first post, people like me continue playing DESPITE CCP and DESPITE the CSM.
We are still trying to make something worthwhile out of it regardless of how broken it becomes. It is still the best MMO on the internet. At least for now...

God help CCP if some other developer actually gets a good idea and runs with it...
Do you think Vampires will save the company if that happens? Twisted
