First I must sincerely apologize for moving you to 667 likes from "666".Roll

Next (CCP and I) must thank you for EFT. I would have quit as a pilot long ago without the ability to test and properly fit a ship for the dangers of space. The testing part actually is more fun at times as I've come up with some crazy-off-the-wall fits that, while not practical except for a very narrow set of circumstances, would be fun to be in when undocking and being scanned by "the other guy".

Thanks again and keep up the good work!Cool

In cse you haven't noticed the thermal t2 rocket is still named "Foxfire Rage Rocket" instead of Thermal Rage. Every other Rage/Javelin is corrected, but not thermal rage.

If you are new to EFT or have a question check >>FAQ.txt<< before asking here. This little document covers few questions which have been asked multiple times already.

Known issues:

  • Mining Foreman Mindlink do not apply his bonus in some cases. It is recommended to plug it into some character in Character Editor and use this character as Squad\Wing\Fleet Commander for mining yield bonus to apply.
  • It is possible to use 6 gas cloud harvesters in EFT while in game only 5 can be activated at once with max skills.
  • <..> Strategic Cruiser and Thermodynamics will be listed in affecting skills of <..> Engineering - Supplemental Coolant Injector subsystems. This is display issue only.
  • Mining Laser Crystals do not list all their skill requirement due to ore reprocessing skills are not included in EFT database

This "Rapid Gator" is real junk of a hosting site. I haven't been able to download EFT due to their crap.

I'm sure you've been asked before but...

Would you consider adding POS fitting to EFT. You have most of the requirements already in place.

* Control tower (equivalent to a ship that requires no skills)
* Modules that use CPU or grid.
* Modules that increase shield resistance (hardeners).
* Turrets, ammo, etc.

The only thing I see as a problem is the slot concept.

My favorite online POS fitting tools is no more Sad

Sorry Grippen

But after 3 years faithful EFT use and abuse, I can no longer get the latest version (2.14.4) to work properly
No matter what I try, I keep getting connection failed error when trying to import my API codes.

New codes, old codes, run as administrator etc etc all result in 'connection failed'

Any ideas?

I have two easy feature requests

1. Allow condensed EFT fits. This will also make posting fits in forums much more compact and readable. Old style fits should still remain compatible. In fact, you could just write a few lines of code to automatically translate these fits into old ones (will need an exception for drones)

[Prophecy, Bait #5]
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II x 2
Reactor Control Unit I
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I x 2

X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I

Focused Medium Pulse Laser II x 5, Multifrequency M
Small Energy Neutralizer II x 2

Medium Trimark Armor Pump I x 3

Warrior II x5

2. I would like an additional tool in EFT that fixes the module names in old fittings. With CCP changing so many names recently, it has become to chore to keep up with a bunch of sed scripts.

Is everyone else having issues importing/exporting fits? I'm gathering it has to do with the renaming of the modules.

It was the same way the first time they renamed modules...

Figures, no sooner than i update EFT to fix the broken import b/c of names, they go and rename a metric crap tonne again!

Yeah, and CCP is planning for even more renames, I wish there was some tool built in EFT to change the item names when we require to, instead of waiting and putting even more pressure on Gripen, that way he would only have to release a new EFT when actual item stats are changed not just for renames..

Version 2.14.5 available.

Basic things to check would be:
- your antivirus or firewall settings: new API uses HTTPS connection which goes through the different port (443 instead of 80 for HTTP on old API)
- proxy settings if you use it: EFT defaults to system wide proxy settings but in 2.14.5 version you can override them in EFT config.ini file by adding "Proxy_Server=ProxyServerName" and "Proxy_Port=ProxyPortNumber" lines

Starting from version 2.14.4 both old and new names should be recognized.

Hi Gripen, I think some ship bonuses are not being applied correctly in 2.14.5. It seems I'm getting lots of underpowered stats vs 2.14.3 and the ship skills aren't showing up for me in the right click > Change Affecting Skill dropdown on fitted modules that receive a bonus from the ship skills.

Also want to say thanks for EFT, been using it for years and EVE wouldn't be the same without it.

For example?

Some wierd behavior usually happens when not all files replaced properly so you may want to check if this is your case by extracting fresh copy of EFT to some other location and checking if there are same errors in it.

Here is a simple example of my issue: EVE Files

See the firepower and skill dropdown.

I have tried 2 installs. First one I copied the character and fitting folders over from 2.14.3. After that I noticed the issue and did a second install in a separate folder with only the character file and a new test rifter fitting.

It seems v2.14.6 does not apply ship boni right, my capstable Scimitar shows as "Capacitor (lasts 17s)".

Geddon Navy Issue also doesn't apply Amarr Battleship skill levels - was rather shocked when I see the DPS of my fit drop about 200 DPS =D
