ITT: We rename rename things for no good reason

As per the popularity of changed module names in game, let's lay out a framework for new terminology to be rolled out across New Eden and the forums.

Thrusters = Vapor Trail Facilities
Spaceship = Wang (perhaps different size wangs to indicate class)
Excellence = Incompetence

I'm sure you clever forum people can come up with much better ones. CCP can look to this thread for some inspiration next time they wish to arbitrarily change 10 years of naming conventions.

Actually laughed out loud,

The new names are daft though, **** knows what they've done with renaming of the hardwire implants, they're WORSE not better, and where the hell is my +1% powergrid gone from what used to be my PG4, it's now a PG3 or whatever crap name it is now X

I been wondering allot about the reason behind the name changes.
Now i think that i finally got a theory.
I think it is to make us oldies confused and thereby limit the gap between us and newer players.
If i am right then i think CCP hit the nail on this one, becasue it sure has made me confused.

Invulnerability field > adaptive invulnerability field > adaptive energized invulnerability field > adaptive energized rainbow invulnerability field > adaptive prismatic energized rainbow invulnerability field...

If you are so confused by the simple name changes being made then I wonder how you managed to play EvE at all?

I think you need to relearn english if you think 'adaptive invulnerability field' is simpler than 'invulnerability field'.

It is consistent, because "Energized ADAPTIVE Nano Membrane" effects all resists, therefore it makes sense that an "ADAPTIVE Invulnerability Field" also effects all resists.

The 125mm railgun and the 150mm railgun all shoot hybrid ammo, all railguns of all sizes will now be renames "Railgun"

And they don't ADAPT to anything, the resistances are fixed. If someone started shooting at you with thermal ammo and the module adjusted so that it stacked up your thermal resistance then it could live up to its ADAPTIVE name, but it doesn't so really neither make sense Roll
