Hi
Iv just (Finally) got Eve running again after the new patch under linux. Not that this is a big issue as I don't use it very often, but when I switch to captains quaters, the game just closes. Is this just me, or to be expected? I like things to "work" weather i use them or not.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Hi

Do a bit of searching around. The captains quarters doesn't work through Wine. They may sort it one day, but for now it's pretty good stuff that the game runs as well as it does. Stick with it though, Linux all the way!

Cool. Thanks. That's what I thought. I use Linux all the time for server application, but I want to move away from windows completely now.

In previous versions, CQ *did* work under Wine. I'm not sure when it broke, because I hardly ever go into CQ. But I have used it there in the past. (It's broken for me now, though.)

Honestly, even when CQ worked under Linux I kept it turned off most of the time because it was clunky and awkward compared to the menus.

I'll be worried about it working when the CQ avatar reaches the mobility of "Doom".

Has anybody figured out a workaround to get CQ working under Wine?

(Not that I miss it a whole lot... but, the anal retentive part of me wants to get everything working.)
