Do incursions spawn during playtime or only after downtime??

I heard one guy in local saying that he was mining in another region and the Incursion just landed on him (- not after downtime - space goes green and the Incursion starts -) whilst he was mining, and he got scrammed by the Sanshas belt rats and then got popped. Is this a real story?? Would hate to lose my miner like this

If this is the case what have been the most 'infected' constellations by Incursions? (basically so's I can avoid them).

Or is it just purely random? I ask this because here in the Qermi system in Kador we've had 4 or more maybe and it's a big ol starmap.

In parts. You get the incursions overlay a few minutes before belt rats spawn. That "guy" (I don't think marcos nor bots have a gender) was not watching the screen and lost his ship as he should have.

Any constellation can be hit by Incursions. Given the sample size it's not reasonable to try to avoid them.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

Thanks for reply gfldex - am at screen when I mine so thanks for letting me know that there is a heads up on an incoming. I know there's a few afk'r /bots round here that'll be surprised.

**BUT** Looking on google about my question (you answered this quicker thanks) - I found a site that promotes/sells bots - and ofc they're programmed to recognise and gtfo at the 1st sign of an incursion .....grrrr.

Such sites should be petitioned to CCP when you find them, even if CCP monitors closely those sites for obvious reasons.

I have read somewhere on these boards that constellations which have both high and low security systems never get incursions. I can not confirm this, but i recall the reasoning made sense.
