I am repeating myself here, but the notion of "starter gear" really rubs me the wrong way.

It's a noobfirg, a ship. That's all.

You'll get your "gear" when you understand what fittings and hardwirings mean, and have to worry about clone costs. "Gear" is something you have to consider when you still need a 6% implant and officer modules to make a frigate do what you want it to do. Only to lose it to twenty male-loving gantlemen in sensor boosted battle cruisers at a random lowsec gate.

I think he is referring to the TITAN defanging that CCP are about to deliver.

End Game in EVE = Titan (which will no longer be able to blap smaller ships)
End Game in WOW = Some level 1 tries to walk up and hit you, but they instantly die to some damage buff

Personally, not being able to hit someone higher level than you makes me run for the hills faster than any TITAN nerf ever could achieve.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea
