Cannot Play Eve - Pls Make Patch Available as Direct Download

Tuesday patch worked fine.

Wednesday patch killed Eve for me. It got to 6.8mb of a 17mb download and froze. Followed all fixes on here, nothing worked. Got corp mate to export patch from launcher, upload to file sharing site so I could download, import. Sorted.

Thursday patch. Same again. gets to 4.37mb of 7.32mb and freezes. Awaiting kinf corp mate to export patch so I can down load it and import manually.

Can we PLEASE have patches available as manual downloads until launcher is fixed. It clearly is not working for a minority (no I don't have that AV installed).

What is the problem with making patch available to download from website? Those people who the launcher works for fine, those it doesn't, we have a work around!

I've filed a petition and feeding GM Haggis the files he asks for but I WANT TO PLAY EVE!

They want to get the Launcher issues resolved for future use. The first few weeks may be a little rough until everything is worked out.

I do agree that all the .patch files should be made available manually until it is all sorted, but at the same time, if they did that, their may be users who never fully get their issue fixed since they would just patch around it.


Almost every other MMO uses a Laucher Patcher so it was only a matter of time before EVE switched over. 
If I helped you out, Technical Issue, enemy gank, popped your poor fit, hit the "Like" button.

But I'm submitting petitions. I'm uploading files as requested by the GM.

But I cannot play Eve.

At the very least they should give a top secret download to those that help so we can play the game.

This is the start of my weekend and as an uber-Eve geek I'm panicking.

My god! The wife might even suggest some "quality time" together!

I am in the same boat! The launcher clearly isn't ready for TQ release. I cannot log in. I have 2 characters with skill Q's about to run out. I have items finished manufacturing. Can't log in to get them up for sale.

I had to do a full clean reformat and reinstall of W7 64b just to get Crucible 1.5 to install last week. Now they are introducing more broken things to "improve" the game operation? Sorry but I am not going to be reinstalling my OS every time CCP wants to try an "ALPHA release" launcher.

The first few weeks being rough is NOT an excuse to deny me the ability to get into the game. The only real option is to remove the launcher, FIX it, then release it again. It is clearly NOT ready for release on TQ

If every other MMO was running off a 1k meter cliff, would you do it too? Just because every other MMO is doing that doesn't mean that it is right for THIS MMO. CCP clearly can't (or won't) produce a dependable piece of technology to "keep up with the Joneses" This is clearly a REAL reason to withdraw the launcher.

Phil, ask a corp mate to export the patch via the launcher tools menu, upload it somewhere for you, then download it and import it via the same launcher tools menu.

It will at least get you in game and able to queue up your skills.

I really really hope CCP are listening to us, and are going to fix this. Because it's going to be a recurring problem every time they patch.

Can't they just make the patch files available like you do? Or are you a CCP support in disguise ;)

The GM I'm talking to in my petition has said he's going to ask for for these files to be made available.

Just got to hope the powers-that-be listen to him!

The way to get this is to make your own petition and get more GM's to suggest this!

Again this is only a stopgap and unless they (or you) fix the issues with the launcher, manually skipping it, (while it may work) is only going to extend the time till the problem is fixed. Everyone that has issues each patch should keep getting the GM's info they can use to hopefully fully figure out what is going on.

No I am not official, but I understand what users are going through and am trying to be the middleman while the GM's are asleep/busy.
