Ok this is my second post , and i was kinda calm until now, i have not been able to play since Tuesday so CCP here goes ..

I want you to give me an link to a manual patch until you fix the F**** launcher or role the thing back , i don't care all i want is to play , and to be honest your support (or lack of) suck.

If you cant\wont give me the manual patch option then , return my subscription fee for this month and close my account i don't give a ****

PS. this was my previous post , i got absolutely no support from you , its a ******* disgrace that some of the players need to try and do your support work for you:

Whine more.. I had a good troubleshooting discussion between Hanzen and myself and you didn't chime in once. You could tell us what you have tried outside of the Firewall/AV issue.

Have you tried using a Proxy just to see if you can get around and grab it through one? Not that hard to find a free one and set it up temporairly in your Internet Settings / Connection settings

And since you seem to have gotten the 1.5 patch to work and yesterdays 1.5.1 patch isn't you didn't bother to download my 1.5.1 manual patch for the launcher to use did you? Roll

Was late unless you expect me to stay up through the night ?

I have a ADSL line why should I use a proxy if i am connected directly?

Link to the patch please cause i must have missed that one.

My AV and Firewall is disabled.

It is only for the update from 349998-350962 so I and you hope that you got 1.5 successfully Tuesday.

And it is funny how everyone argues with my "Try a proxy" advice. If all else isn't working, what is 5minuts of trial and error to see if it is your own DSL Service causing you grief.

You also may want to read and try whats in this post. You may also be experiencing the cached issue.

More Proxy and hey, Manual Patches up until my patch.. Lucky you.

Thanks the patch worked , but it seems as if there should be another patch I am now on 350962 what is the latest build?

And m8 , although you might think i wine , i do not , i am seriously pissed off, i am a developer myself, and do this **** on a daily basis for software that i wrote for the government, and i have never deployed something that is not properly tested and UAT.

An even with all this testing we still have a way to rollback in no time, I do not depend on the customer to do my functional\UAT testing in the production environment. I also do not hope that the customers will support themselves, great that you try and do something but seriously who wrote this stuff?, who gets paid to do this stuff?.... you?....i think not.

You do realize that your "government" and CCP's Market are 2 completely different arenas?
One involves a network within a set geographic environment with hopefully similar firewall settings and restrictions, another is a mass market encompassing the globe and has almost limitless variables that are impossible to account for within a 2 day troubleshooting session since I assume less than 98% of users actually tested the new stuff on the test server before launch day.

I would hope as a Dev you can realize the much larger picture CCP has to paint.

I can appreciate the fact that they support different platforms yes, but still not an excuse, you made an assumption that the software that i develop is only used in government, the one system is used and i will give you that , but most of my other software is also used by 3rd parties\NGO`s , which includes scientist, i have no control over their environments but it is expected to work , and it does.
One is a mathematical water quality modelling application, the results of this model have to be able to be defended in a court of law, and it does, doesn't matter who uses it where and on what.

Dont get me wrong i do not compare my work with CCP`s work , but the same underlying principles is always true in any software development environment.

Woooot, at last i can play EVE although still manually patching , thanks Fishmaskle, just hope they dont pacth soon again as i will have to then beg on forums for a patch download again.
