New EVE Launcher, wtf!

OK, so you have decided to use a launcher program thing, i guess to bring you in line with other successful MMO like WoT....I was dissapointed though to see that you haven't quite grasped the concept of it as when i clicked play and i got to the usual eve screen it asked me to install a client update. Is that not what the launcher should sort out? derp

its discused in Crucible 1.5 feedback thread and they (CCP) will move client updates to the launcher in the future. First version only do large updates.

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

This is most likely a first time thing only and it kinda makes sense. Todays patch installed nicely from launcher.

as with all things in eve. it will take a month or 2 to get most of the bugs out.

The launcher is there to help facilitate patches easier. Now instead of loading the game, clicking to patch, exiting game, patching, loading the game, clicking to patch again, exiting game, patching and then finally loading the game again to log in and play...you can load the launcher which patches everything for you and then log in and play. This is the sole reason for launchers to exist. The one and only. With the launcher, CCP can patch every single day and it will be less of an ordeal for the player. It allows them to fix the game and for us to enjoy it more.

Now...quit bitching about it.
