All settings are lost every update! Additionally new eve bugs

Ever since the new launcher was released all my settings keep getting reset back to default. I even get the EULA window that I have to accept for the past two patches now! So, what gives? It has been years since a previous eve patch has ever cause all my settings to be lost and now this... This is just unacceptable and needs to be fixed immediately.

Another thing is that the current eve client has more bugs when it comes to applying graphics setting than it ever did previously. I'm not sure how your QA team missed it, if CCP even has such a group. Since these recent two patches I'm beginning to wonder if you guys actually do test these updates before unleashing them.

As for the actual bugs, well one of them is the fact that every time the launcher applies an update All settings are gone/reset as I've already stated above in my post.


  1. Changing these Display settings at the same time Windowed or Fullscreen to Window Mode and Window Size to a non-fullscreen size (1680x1050 instead of native 1920x1080) and hitting apply causes the eve window to to stay full screen, but the GUI graphics become malformed and you have to use the mouse cursor by an offset around 40 pixels left of any button you're wanting to actually click on.
  2. Workaround: Change and apply each setting separately.

  3. After finally getting the eve window into actually window mode by changing any Display option and hitting apply and then changing it back and applying it again, if you were to change the focus to another app Eve immediately goes back to full screen and steals focus.
  4. Workaround: Restart the eve client immediately after changing it from fullscreen into window mode.

  5. Smooth camera movement is still occurring when using the eve map even though it is unchecked within Display & Graphics tab.
  6. Workaround:None exists.


These problems showed up after Crucible 1.5 patch was released.

i have the same problem with resetting settings, thou if i restart the client( for example, change language in-game ) , eve reloads with all the settings i had b4 some stupid launcher patch broke everything Ugh

Same here. Happend just 30 minutes ago. I was running 4 Clients without a problem. Then rebooted my Computer and voila:
All Settings gone, had to accept the Eula again.

Hi folks,

This is a known issue that has a fix. Please follow the steps below and submit a Bug Report if they do not work for you.

1. Verify your Launcher version is 1.09 (Get the latest from http://content.eveonline.com/351477/EVEOnlineLauncherInstaller.exe
if you have an earlier version)
2. Check your cache folder (C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE). If you have a tilde (~) in any of the folder names, delete that folder
3. Run EVE
4. If your old settings have not been restored, recreate the settings, safe in the knowledge that they will not reset again.

Thank you Goliath for the fix. Today's update didn't reset my settings this time and hopefully that means it's fixed for good. :)

Same here. I didn't have any problems until this patch. Now all of my settings have been wiped including all of my overview profiles. One corp mate also had the problem and another one didn't.

Scratch that. I just tried the fix and got my old overview back. Thanks!
