Price of Fuel

Is it me, or is the price of fuel getting out of hand? Between the war on bots, the Goons, and the crazy planetary interaction; running a tower has become too expensive.

Any thoughts on how we can drive the price back down so tech 2 invention and manufacturing can be profitable again?

I remember just a year ago that it only cost 100 million a month to run a large tower. Now we are approaching 340 million.

With a small control tower, if you aren't clearing a billion ISK a month profit with one account, you are really doing something terribly wrong.

POS fuel costs should not be a concern, especially if you are doing the math beforehand on items you manufacture, pricing appropriately, or moving to something else if the numbers are not in your favour.

I have an alt that can't manufacture T2 clearing 750m profit per month on T1, and over 150m per month on hisec extraction PI.

(isn't sure what the OP is smoking)

POS fuel costs haven't changed in months really. Costs per 30-days for large towers are still in the 350-421 million ISK range. Which is pretty close to what they were last summer/fall.

Even better, small towers are no longer 1/3 the cost of a large tower each month but are now almost exactly 1/4 the cost. Mid-sized towers also got a respite on their fuel bill, even though they consume more HW/LOz then before.

If everyone has to buy the same expensive fuel, then there's no real reason to complain, right? As a producer I mean, the rest of Eve will obviously start complaining about the expensive T2 Lol

Consider actually making fuel yourself and getting in on the FREAKING FORTUNE THIS 'Carebear' is making ATM.

This is definitely working as intended...........Lol

I just wish that speculators didn't keep fluxing the market. It's getting irritating to switch back and forth between block types every day because one crashes and one spikes.

Last I checked, fuel prices were falling. Or at least they fell enough that I just got out of the fuel block manufacturing market.

They are a lot more volatile thats for sure, so I personally have shortened the amount I make to a 24 manufacture time so as to be able to adapt to the changes.

Hey,

I am not involved in any Tech II Invention, only manufacturing Tech I.
I am able to run a large CT and make 3-4B profit per month.
Plus, i don't have any expensive BPO (no ship for example).

Yup. Plus, they sell for 21,000 regularly, then IDIOTS in RENS put them up for 15,500.

I guess they are already RICH or something. Market PvE---it's a gas.Roll

Can you clarify this puzzling statement ? What is a "24 manufacture time" ?

2 hours for 2 Orca Loads of Ice, refined, providing one's own PI, with 4,800,000 expenditure to make up the shortage of Heavy Water and Liquid O, SELLING the excess Isotopes, nets afterwards, even with expenditures, 92,000,000 ISK in sales (at 15,500). Yup, 92,000,000 or more for 2 hours of mining. Too bad you left.

Is that assuming the ice and PI are free to you?

I believe it says "Two hours of Ice Mining".

PI is maybe an hour.

No such thing as 'free', so why ask nonsense?

What he means is, are you accounting for the opportunity cost? Would you make more just selling the PI stuff (or making other PI stuff) and selling the ice/refined ice?

I imagine you're using two accounts or more to mine and move the ice? Two accounts you could be doing something else with and making more money per hour. You need to account for this, and I can't tell if you did.

PI and ICE are worth crap. You KNOW this.

PI + ICE = Fuel Blocks = WIN Profits !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you guys THINK WAY TOO HARD about this game. Do you really have any fun ??
"Opportunity cost". Really ??

Like every other game, there are min/maxers. If you could have made more isk selling the ice and PI, then you made less isk making blocks than you could have. That was my only question. You seem to think you made "WIN profits" but perhaps you only made "win profits" or really "lost isk vs the guy that just sold stuff instead".
