CTRL+double click not working anymore. Why ?

CTRL+simple click was the targeting before and the CTRL+ double click was targeting+approach toward to the targeted objects.

Why removed this feature or just a simple bug ???

Give back to us.

Issues with cargohold size of non-active ships

My active ship is a Raven
I opened my Badger's cargohold (normally 10708.48) and it only shows a volume of 4125.00, however there are 6584.88 units of things in it and I've been able to add/remove items with no problems.

Finally however, when trying to add a new item I get the following dialog:
"87.9 cargo units would be required to complete this operation. Destination container only has 2.40984374999 units are available."

Something finally broke. I've long since surpassed the shown volume but I'm not at the actual volume yet.

When your badger is not active, the cargohold is not extended by its modules when approaching the hold, you can move stuff out of it, but not put it back in. To circumvent this, activate the badger and open your cargohold. Now it has the expected size. This is a known feature within the EVE backlog ;).

Let me add, sometimes your cargohold will refuse to stack, even when there is room. But when you enter the stuff without stacking, and then stack within the hold itself (right click) it stacks afterall.

You misunderstand. Even after reaching the specified 4125 of the non-active cargohold I can still add items, not just remove them, without activating the ship. If what you've said is true I should not be able to.

I get an exception error when trying to upgrade. I tried the repair tool and it fails as well. The exception error is too long to post apparently. It says it can't update because steam is using a file. Steam is shut down, and I scanned through services and programs, there are no steam files running. I did also try to run the launcher out of the folder instead of through steam and it still didn't work.

What did work:

Close all programs, windows, browser windows, everything. Reapplied the patch and the install worked.

Ok, so after the patch i attempted to do the following:

Launch my client and let it do whatever it wanted to do to update itself, this ended up in my game files becoming corrupt. I ran the repair tool and this worsened the problem.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of the client from the EVE Website and installed it. After attempting to launch the game i am met with the following error:

"The program or feature "\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\launcher.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available."

I cannot launch the Launcher.exe either it says it is not compatible with 64bit windows.


Running the repair tool on a fresh UNTOUCHED install produces this error:

See the logfile 'C:\Users\XXXX\Appdata\Local\Temp\nsgDA2F.tmp\repair.exe.log' for details

Before reinstalling i attempted to delete some essential files from my EvE directory and run the repair tool, the repair tool reported as being successful yet the files i deleted were not replaced.

Has anyone found a workaround this ****** launcher yet?
Would really like to launch eve the way I did before as the launcher isnt worth a F**k
Also same old patch day blues. settings all back to default and overview is fubar AGAIN.
There are so many things this patch has broke for me I doubt I have enough remaining characters to list them so i wont even bother.
On a plus side at least the people in the "we think this would be really cool department" fixed the ladies liptsick and gave us all cool looking nub ships.
Way to go CCP. Yet again another outstanding patch day success.

Ran Launcher, updated. Ran repair tool, repaired, (allegedly). Game client boots up, before it it fully loaded, it crashes. No error messages, nothing.

After all kinda BS to get this POS to run i now drop connection every 15-30 min or so... this is consistent and i cannot play the game at all like this.

Handshake changes again?

I get this as well... last few days, regular as clockwork. Never had a problem before this week.

Some sort of timeout... any other application requiring the internet is fine, but Eve times out, dumps me back to the desktop, then client auto-launches again.

If I'm running multiple clients, mixed results... sometimes only one dies, sometimes all.

Making the game almost completely unplayable.

Sorry if this is double post, but here is my reaction to new launcher.

1). wants to always run as admin. No thanks. (link to exefile instead solves problem)
2). every patch takes forever to do the calculate bit. Very annoying.
3). couldnt we have the option to download patches overnight a day or so before they become mandatory to take advantage of the off peak internet many of us have? (long standing request).

VERY VERY ANNOYING starting picture of EVE Crucible when launching game-client.
Earlier it was smaller and was simply overlayed with any other chosen active window. Now it makes any flying ship greatly vulnerable - cause I just can't see battlefield or shield status of my ship during loading new window.

Upd:
Now it's not so annoying cause it closes after clicking on it ) Hurra!!!

Nope, still isn't working. You guys need to go back and look at it. I've done everything I can plus followed GM recommendations to remedy the problem. I've also:

I've tried repairing the client multiple times.
I've tried deleting the catch through the launcher tool.
I've tried deleting the catch manually.
I've tried deleting the ingame scan filters.
I've tried using the default Show All filter with no success.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EvE client.
I'm using a dedicated scanning ship.
All of my relevant scanning skills are lvl 4 or higher.
And yes, I've even tried adjusting the filters according to GM instruction.

The problem is still not resolved.

What else can I do?

You guys need to fix this problem, not claim it's a "feature". That's just lazy.

For over a week now i have been unable to maintain a connection to eve.

Ever since this patch was put into place my connection drops out after between 5 and 30 min of playing and then resets.
I have posted on the Crucible Issues thread, sent email, made a petition containing all the logs from ping plotter, CCPs logserver tool and a DirectX pull from my PC, I have even gone as far as to call all the published CCP offices, not that it does any good but i wanted to test all options..

I have spoken with my ISP who say they are aware of the issue and cannot do anything about it as the connection is being dropped from eves side, seems everyone going through this ISP is having trouble as are a few other ISP in EU.
All other internet related services stay running when eve drops, skype, youtube and outlook maintain their connections. I have changed no hardware in this time and nothing has updated that could affect this.

This has happened before when you CCP changed their servers handshake but it was fixed within a day or two.

I dont care whos fault it is, be it the ISP, you CCP or something at my house, however so far ve checked everything at my house and my ISP has contacted me back saying they have looked into it ect. So now im still waiting for you....

CCP answer my petition, answer me here, call me. Tell me what you have changed on your side. tell me someone that my ISP can get in contact with to adjust their setting if needed.

I dont care what method you use just respond. I have been playing eve for over 3 years and deserve better then this...

I'm native german speaker and I honestly switched to english localization cause it turned out my corpmates were starting to talk about things I just could not follow anymore. Example: Forsaken/Forlon Hub ... the german translation "verlassen" works for both.
For an international game with players of any kind of country, there really should be no need to localize even things like "bantha poodo".
