Questions on raising corp faction standing.

Hello!

I am currently trying to raise my single person corp standing with the Minmatar faction and I have a few questions. Will the storyline missions I get from running lvl 1 missoins give me the same faction standing as the ones you get for running lvl 4's? Also, which mission type gives the best faction standing security, mining or distribution?

Thanks in advance.

a) lvl 1 storyline gives lvl 1 amount of standing
b) by far security (if you can run them )

You want to make a sprint to level 4 missions and once there you want to get storyline missions as quickly as possible. With this in mind I suggest you backwards plan.

Security missions may be a good choice for the level 1 & 2 missions. For level 3 missions it is dependent on your weapon skills. If you are able to blitz kill missions then do those. If not, go courier. Once you get to level 4 it is best to do courier missions if the goal is faction standings.

1. Decide which agent(s) and corporation you want to use at level 4

Use eve agent finder for reseach. You want to find a corporation that has a courier agent and storyline agent in the same system or very close. Remember you get sent to the storyline agent that is nearest. The best case scenario is a system with multiple courier agents in the same station or system all for the same faction.

Once you are able to use this agent(s) you will gain faction very fast. Faster than any other grind save COSMOS.

2. Next find lower level agents within the targeted corporation that you have access to.

Using the same criteria as above, start running missions for the lower level agents. Blitz them as often as you have this option. When you are at level 1 or 2 try to use security missions if possible. The goal at this point is not faction standing but corporate standing. You will rack up faction standing when you get to that level 4 agent you found in step one.

Every storyline gives more standing gain for the corporation then it does for the faction. For that reason you may want to run mutiple agents in the same systems with any corporation in the same faction to speed thing up. What matters most is that all the storylines are offered by your target corporation.

3. Once you get to level 3 missions you have a decision to make. Courier vs. kill.

You did not link your skills so my advice here is a bit general. If, and only if, your character has the skills to blitz level 3 missions go kill missions. If not go courier.

Find agents using the same criteria as above, close to a storyline agent in the same corporation. Blitz the missions with an eye toward getting as many storyline as you can in the shortest time. If you go the courier route try to use multiple agents in the same system that are in the same faction no matter the corporation.

Once you get to 5.0 standings with that corporation you are golden.

4. Train skills

Get social, negotiation, and connections as high as you can stand early in this process. Also consider training for a blockade runner to make the couriers fly by.

Some will tell you to stay with blitzing the level 3 missions to get faction standing faster. Take this advice with a grain of salt. I have tested and proven (to myself) that this is sub-optimal. With level 4 storylines you can get much higher standings gains and you do not have to turn down missions as with some level 3 kill missions which can not be blitzed.

You should be able to throw up your tower in less than 7 days depending on your play time.

Thanks Patari,

This is exactly what I was looking for, I was not sure on the best/fastest way of getting the corp faction up. I hand not even considered running COSMOS until you mentioned it. I will probably give that a try when hauling is driving me insane. Thanks for the advise.

If you want faction standing run cosmos.

A well executed Cosmos plan can take your faction standing from 0-8+ in less than 8 hours of gameplay

If you don't have a lot of ISK and a lot of experience running cosmos missions (probably true if you are asking questions), it will take you a lot longer, but it's still the fastest way to gain standing.

Check out the guide for your faction and your associated factions.

The Faction Standing Repair Plan can also be used to increase or boost your current positive Faction standing as well as repair negative Faction standing. It lists all Event Agents that give Faction standing increase for completing their missions.

I gave the Cosmos missions a try and am gaining faction standing very quickly, I have been crunching lvl 4 missions for 2 weeks and have well out done that in the couple days I have been running the cosmos missions. I am guessing I will have my faction standing at 6 in a couple more days. Thanks again everyone for all your help and suggestions.
