all sounds on grid in full volume

since the patch all sounds are played in full volume, what happening on grid.

Before the patch you only got the noises if you were nearby or looked at a ship,
always when far away from sounds sources or zoomed out, no sounds were played or quietly depending on the zoom level.

Now, if you have a scout 300km off gate, you got all the sounds as if you were directly at the source.
This is very annoying and irritating.

I also have noticed this personally, but some corp mates claim the reverse. In which they now have volume that scales with distance.

Sound is definitely wrong, I have same problem as you. Also, for example, the sound of engine of your ship is incredibly low and the "starting warping" sound is almost gone as well. The warping sound when you reach the full speed is OK though.


Few other threads has been created about this topic, by the way, if you want to find the "comfort" by knowing you're not the only one.

yes, when I'm 300km off gate and there is a gang with ships with sensor boosters running for example, I'm hearing a symphony of sensor boosters in full volume non stop.

I dont want to imagine how it sounds in a 150 dudes fleet when all jump or have hardeners or boosters on.

I hope so, alot of people will react maybe : 'eve has sound? '

But I do play with sound , and cannot play without. But the effects make it horrible now...

I had this issue too ... logi gangs just became a whole lot less fun, the ETs sound pretty bad...

Thought it was just me.

Chippin' in to say I have the same problem. Using a realtek HD integrated sound board.

My Noctis is today even more quieter, almost no sound from modules while beam tracking and salvaging Sad


Also mining lasers are so quiet, I don't like it... But not sure if that is a feature though (I hope it is not) Smile

Not trying to complain, but how on earth did you break the code for sounds on grid. What did you mess with for the launcher patch that had anything to do with on-grid audio? Glad to hear you are aware of it b/c going to Jita is a bit over the top right now...or doing anything with more than a few pilots on grid...
