Baking an Alt

So with the power of 2, I've started a new character with PvP being his main focus. I don't have the time to really play him right now so I came up with a plan to just let him skill up on the side for a few months. I remapped int/mem, started with Cybernetics IV, and plugged in +4 int/mem/perc implants. Using the ever popular Evemon, I came up with a skill plan for roughly 180 days of training. Most skills train at 2610sp/hr with the navigation skills at 2490.

I came up with the following skill plan and was looking for input on it. Once I get the core int/mem stuff done, I figure I can remap to perc/will, jump in a frigate, and start training/playing from there.

The skills:
Cybernetics IV
Acceleration Control IV
Afterburner IV
Astrometric Rangefinding IV
Astrometric Acquisition IV
Astrometric Pinpointing IV
Astrometrics V
Biology V
Cloaking IV
Electronic Warfare IV
Electronics V
Electronics Upgrades IV
Energy Emission Systems IV
Energy Grid Upgrades IV
Energy Management V
Energy Systems Operation V
Engineering V
Evasive Maneuvering V
Fuel Conservation IV
High Speed Maneuvering IV
Hull Upgrades IV
Infomorph Psychology III
Jury Rigging III
Long Range Targeting V
Mechanics V
Nanite Control IV
Nanite Interfacing IV
Nanite Operation IV
Navigation V
Neurotoxin Recovery IV
Projectile Weapon Rigging IV
Propulsion Jamming IV
Shield Emission Systems IV
Shield Management V
EM Shield Compensation IV
Explosive Shield Compensation IV
Kinetic Shield Compensation IV
Shield Rigging IV
Shield Upgrades IV
Signal Dispersion IV
Signature Analysis V
Tactical Shield Manipulation IV
Target Painting IV
Targeting V
Multitasking III
Thermic Shield Compensation IV
Thermodynamics V
Warp Drive Operation V

I'm planning on using Minmatar ships with this one. Shields obviously - would throwing in armor skills be worth it? I'm in no rush and have until Sept before I can get back to some serious play time.

I've heard of biomassing a character, but not baking.

You will miss out on a lot without armor skills, namely a armor Hurricane, armor Tempest, Wolf and Typhoon. Probably more in there I am missing. I mainly fly Minmatar and the only shield ships I PvP with are the Maelstrom and Sleipner. My two go to ships are the armor Tempest and armor Hurricane. Couldn't imagine not using them to PvP.

I have done what you are doing now, training all intelligence and memory first, as probably a lot of players have. What I do is put all T2 ships in EVEmon and sort by attributes. I train all those skills first and then shield, armor, navigation and electronics.

I believe this expression refers to a character taking a vacation to Amsterdam.

Yes - you will want the armor skills.

Shield Operation to V
Shield Upgrades to V not IV (allows a lot more flexibility on extender fits especially in frigs)

Electronics Upgrades to V not IV (prereq for covops cloaking)

Armor Compensations to IV
Repair Systems V
Hull Upgrades to V not IV

Jury Rigging to IV not III
Armor Rigging IV
Astronautics Rigging IV

Weapon Disruption IV
Frequency Modulation IV
Turret Destabalization IV

Survey III and Salvaging IV if you want to salvage

Depending on how much time you want to leave this alt training you may want to consider:
Energy Emission Systems to V
Propulsion Jamming to V
High Speed Maneuvering to V

these will help maintain your cap during pvp since they are used so often

No it's not.

Electronic Upgrades 5 is the prerequisite for Covert Ops and Electronic Attack Ships.
Cloaking only needs Electronics 4 as prequisite.
The Covert Ops Cloaking Device II needs Cloaking 4 as prequisite.

I did not say it was the prereq for the module, I was referring to the act. But you will not be fitting a covops cloak device to any ship other than the covops or T3 with covops subsystems because of its CPU requirements.

If the OP does not want to fly covops, then cloaking is only needed to III.

Also, I'll take this opportunity to add Launcher Rigging to IV as well.

And if he wants to fly a cloaky hauler?

Then he should do it on his non PVP-focused alt. Thanks for your continued good posts.

You don't need Electronics Upgrades to V to fly a CovOps T3 either. That said, training most (if not all) fitting skills to 5 is generally a good idea especially for frigates. And Covert Ops is a good skill to train anyway if thinking of a stealth bomber (can be a fun PvP ship) or a scout frig (very useful).
