XP 32Bit -Launcher and Repair tool not working (FIXED!!!)

Ok i see allot of windows 7 64-bit threads here , i still have Windows XP 32-bit and my repair and launcher doesnt work, here is my story till now:

1) Yesterday login download patch , then it kicks of launcher , launcher goes to 15% then says unable to create patch.
2) Look around forum posts, says i need to repair, nothing hapens except lots of error messages.
3)l Look around for more posts, till i get a post where someone from CCP gave a link to a manual patch file , i download it and whoaaaa its works i am a happy camper.
4) Login just to see a message that the server is going down in 17 minutes
5) Decide ooo well tommorow i can play atleast, logoff and go to bed.
6) Today get home , launch the launcher, it says a new launcher is available and starts downloading it.
7) Launcher starts again and says creating patch XXX, goes to 25% and starts again.
8) Try repair tool again gets an error :

9) Read forums and try different stuff, no luck .
10)Gets pissed off and start typing this post.

I guess what i am asking CCP is until you sort your **** out, please give us a manual patch, so that we can play the game that we pay for and not be your live UAT environment.

Edit: O yeah , my firewall is turned off and i have no AV software running, still i am stuck.

Hi, with the above issues that i had , I tried all possible solutions and finally narrowed it down to my ISP.

So with todays patch i bought a prepaid isp bundle from one of the other providers here connected to them and
my launchers worked it patched my system with no issues, sorry i can not give you guys a detailed explanation as to
what the real issue is, but this works for me, if you can, change ISP and see if it helps.

Same issue. I didn't get the crash problems noted, because my repair can't get past 6/7 when it promptly disconnects internet access (patch_win process running).

Curious but since there is supposidly no Firewall/AV issue, it may be a connection issue (Or other hardware issue) but lets try something first.

I know there are other ways but to be simple. When the launcher starts, can you click on the Wrench icon at the top (Options) and switch the Download Threads from 5 to 1 and then close and reopen the launcher and see if it works?

You may also want to clear the patch/eve cache after doing this just to be sure.


And the Patcher should not be disconnecting your internet access, that sounds like either a connection issue or something else a bit more serious. By chance have you checked to see if you have any newer nic card drivers just to be on the safe side?

Tried changing threads to 1, restarting launcher, still sticks on 15%. Is there some manual url to the patch so I can import it instead?

Ill see if I can host a EVE_Online_349998-350962.patch file in a sec. That might help a few bypass the download issue for "today"

It if still doesnt work (and you were playing fine yesterday) then you have other issues with Memory/HDD/Connection.

Interesting, when launcher is running, it's not just my internet access that's disconnected, its entire network access. I can't even connect to my hardware firewall which is on a local ip address when the launcher is running.

< 15% I think it is calculating checksums - why should this kill a network connection?

It shouldn't.

Can you download HWInfo32 And check the sensors part. See what your Northbridge (NB) and whatever else is getting to temp wise (if you have a NB. If you have a i7/AMD then you may not) but still take a look at temps and see if thing are above 80C in parts..

I do know that if your Nic is off the NB, and the NB is overheating while doing memory intesive task, heck anything can happen. I was having a issue similar to this with mine and my SLI and other devices untill i got a spotcool to fix things up. Damn SLI 560TI's make a ton of heat on my X48.

Nothing is abnormal apart from :

Winbond/Nuvoton W83791SD/G

whatever that is, it says cpu 125C which is blatantly wrong, cause my AMD cpu says 56 degress.

Hmm. In HWinfo you can save a system report. Can you do that and upload it to dropbox and PM it to me?

Close that and see the screen behind that. I dont want sensor info i want a system info dump which is saved in the main report. ;)

Thats all there is? I close this and something flicks on for about a microsecond then disappears, as if it can't create a dialog or something? Im running XP 64 bit - does this matter?

Try going to the HWinfo site and downloading the HWinfo64 version and try that. :/

also you might be missing it but it may be minimized in your taskbar (bottom right) as a blue icon.
