Doesn't work with the uni firewall since the new portal

In the past the patch was always blocked and I have to download the patch directly and manually patch it. But the game would run fine and I can still connect to the eve server.

Since the portal launcher, even after patching the game it would not connect to the server. It will get to the eve logon screen and say unable to connect to server x.x.x.x at port 26000.

It might be coincident that they block the eve server just when they launched the portal but I really doubt it.

The behaviour is really odd, if I switch to the uni network it will launch the portal and download the patch but when the game launches it will not be able to connect to the server. Then when I switch back to the wireless network, it will again download the patch but this time I'll be able to connect to the game server. It seems that everytime I switch connection it downloads the same patch over and over again. I need to get it to work on the university network as the wireless signal is too weak.
