You're here because you want to venture into 0.0 space (nullsec) to join in on the excitement you hear about, but you don't have any training. You know you'll die.

Many nullsec corps and alliances will offer you training only if you join their 'cause', whether that's PvP or industry. That can be daunting for someone that doesn't want to be part of some 'cause'.

We understand your dilemma.

What's the answer?

OUCH is the answer. It's the Open University of Celestial Hardship. We have very experienced trainers to teach you how to survive and fight in nullsec. We have no 'cause' other than to teach you nullsec survival and PvP.

Our motto: kill more, die less.

What does that mean for me?

You're going to lose ships (it's why we ensure you're only using cheap, expendable Tech 1 frigates while you're doing your training). You're probably going to get podded a few times along the way. We don't guarantee your survival in nullsec, but we do guarantee to teach you how to minimize your losses. Kill more, die less is our motto.

It's brutal out there, but when you're a member of OUCH, you're with a group of friendly, relaxed people who understand your fears. We're there to help you learn how to survive in nullspace. We will teach you everything you need to know.

What kind of training will I get?

Student training focuses on a number of essential skills in a detailed yet practical maner:

  • Overview settings
  • EVE client settings and interface
  • Bookmarking
  • Using the Directional Scanner
  • Tackling
  • Weaponry
  • Fleet Ops
  • Hunter/Prey

Once you graduate from OUCH you can apply to become a permanent member, or you're free to move on. If your application to become permanent is accepted, you will be transferred into our Operations department and have the opportunity to move into more advanced hulls and roles and receive advanced PVP training, including, for example, Interceptors, EWAR, Recons, Covert Ops, and support ships.

Student Training Schedule

Our training sessions are usually held every week on Saturdays and Sundays at 19:00 EVE time, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 18:00, and various additional time and day offerings depending on demand. We promote these sessions with our forum, EVE mails and in-game calendar.

Are there any minimum requirements to join OUCH?

No pre-requisites are required to join OUCH. No minimum number of skill points, API checks, interviews, etc. We truly are an "open" training corporation. Our students have ranged from one day old trial accounts to players who were with Eve since Beta. We accept anyone with a pulse.

However, to make your OUCH experience meaningful, you must be willing to have or accept the following:

  • A desire to learn how to survive in nullsec and develop your PvP skills.
  • You must do your homework and abide by our corporate policies and restrictions. After joining OUCH you'll find that in addition to attending Module training sessions, there's quite a bit of forum information you'll have to read and digest. You will not, and should not, be fighting from day one. Like when you learn boxing, it's the gym first and arena second.
  • When a student graduates and would like to become a permanent member of OUCH, he or she must apply to the Operations Department. You do not become a permanent member by simply graduating.
  • Be active on Teamspeak (for voice communications) when you're logged on.
  • Sign up to our forum and keep up to date with information and discussions.

OUCH is a nullsec survival and PvP training corp. You're expected to be practicing what you've learned, and if you're not practicing, then we hope that's because you've learned it so well you're teaching someone instead. Being on Teamspeak will allow you to chat with other corp and alliance members, and participate in more training and PvP operations.

OUCH does exactly what it claims. Join us and learn null sec survival and have fun doing it.

OUCH takes all players. There is no SP requirement. There is no interview. There is no queue to wait in you will get accepted usually within 24 hours. All you have to have is a willingness to learn. The whole process up to graduation just has you flying a t-1 frigate.

Another bump for OUCH. The instructors are great and it's even more fun when you PVP alongside them.

Your 90-day (or less) student life in OUCH will be a bit rigorous as we take your introduction to PvP life in nullsec seriously, but when it's over you'll have opened an EVE door you don't want to miss.

OUCH originally focused on null sec survival. We now focus more on PvP survival... How to engage and WIN. Check our killboard. Recon, assess, engage, kill... Rinse and repeat. Join us.

Great post! I'll admit I have been drawn in... Hey there, Im new to Eve and absolutely loving it so far. Currently I am in highsec space going through my initial and early missions and am trying to grasp the many concepts this game holds...

Ive been doing as much research about the game as I can but i'll admit, there is A LOT! Kinda overwhelming.

Im lookintg for a Corporation to call my home, Im not the sort to receive training and then just up and leave. I am a loyal a mature adult who is looking for a team to work with.

Your post here describes the player I am aspiring to become, and so far my training has been put all towards being a soldier.

I definitely would like to be considered to become an applicant in OUCH!

Thanks in advance for your time.

If you want too experience Null but dont have a clue where to start the OUCH no minimum SP ideal is great for new starters while experienced pilots will enjoy the refresh

As a recent addition to the permanent staff at OUCH i'm now based in null sec, not bad considering a few months ago I got the sweats going into low.

Great training program.

Join up, learn, enjoy fun.

Our training consists of live, hands-on instruction with a qualified trainer in a small group setting. Nullsec/PvP skills are built from the ground up. There is no cost and no strings attached, other than your willingness to abide by our policies and regulations while in OUCH. The student life cycle is 90 days, though many graduate in a much shorter time.

Once you've graduated you move on (we also have a recruitment thread for graduating students in which corps interested in our grads have a recruitment post) or you can apply to become a permanent member of OUCH. Permanent members are required to help train students, participate in PvP ops, and have access to Advanced Training Courses that focus on advanced hulls and PvP roles.

Our basic goal is simple: Help folks increase the fun factor of EVE by removing the roadblocks to PvP life in nullsec.
