Hi

After the implement of the launcher on SiSi i couldn't use it i tried everything possible and nothing worked, the main error was

The logger could not be found for "carbon

However after today's patch I cant log in to TQ. With the same error message

So I though I would try all the fixes and even a complete reinstall. Still nothing worked, I have yet to even see this great new launcher

So start again try another complete reinstall using the executable package. This works but again asks for the patch, i go ahead and download the patch. Eve is now corrupt so I run the repair tool and get an error

Exception in thread Thread-2

FileSyncError: data corruptio

No handlers could be found for logger "zsync

Please Please can someone give me a fix or tell me what is wrong or let me know if any more information is required

Thanks in Advanc

Still no response, i managed to get it working by by-passing this S*** new launcher and guess what today another patch and i though hey they fixed it. I even see the launcher this time but now i realise all it is pretty version on the the repair tool.

This means i get to see CCP advertise how great this new launcher is while it f****** trolls me with the constant repetition of the latest update before failing miserably and again today im stuck without no eve and have to spend another 6 hours looking for a work around to avoid going anywhere near this pointless launcher!!

Suppose i'll be downloading the whole game another 4/5 times.

CCP you are the ultimate p*** takers and spend far to much time on pointless crap that never works, while yet again ignoring people that have been paying for multiple accounts for years.

Curious but when you do a said "Reinstall" Do you also go into C:\Users\*UserName*\AppData\Local (guessing you are Win 7) and clear out (or at least move) the "CCP" folder within there as well? That contains a lot of cache/patch files/stuff that may be fudging up your install

Outside of that if you clear out all CCP folders and content from your system, and your network/connection isn't to blame, you may have a more critical system/OS issue on your hands.

Over 3 separate Win 7 systems with 2 clients being ran on all of them depending on my location, the patching went flawlessly on all of them.
If I helped you out, Technical Issue, enemy gank, popped your poor fit, hit the "Like" button.

Hi,

Do you happen to have any antivirus/firewall installed which could be blocking the repair tool?

We have found a solution for some people getting corrupted downloaded data. The problem is caused by an antivirus/firewall called ESET Smart Security.

Players are asked to try to disable the protocol content filtering:

1. Open the main window for ESET
2. Press F5 to open the Advanced Setup Window
3. From the Advanced Setup tree, click Personal firewall -> Protocol filtering (for ESET Smart Security) or Antivirus and antispyware -> Protocol filtering (for ESET NOD32 Antivirus).
4. Untick the checkbox “Enable application protocol content filtering”
5. Download the latest repair tool: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/345/repair.exe
6. Drop the repair.exe into the EVE client folder.
7. Run repair.exe

This will update your game client, take you to the latest version and give you a working version of the Launcher.

Please let me know if this resolves your problem.

Wow i need to do more mad posting it seem to get responses.

Fishmaskle - I have tried all methods and have made sure there is no trace of anything CCP before reinstalling as i though this might be an issue. The only way it worked before was using the full download and the executable file, then launching Eve from the bin folder bypassing the launcher tool altogether.

Thanks CCP Cascade i have seen this fix/workaround i will try this now and update you shortly.

Thanks

I would advice you to contact Customer Support for ESET so that they can get information on the issue and resolve it, or contact us and have this resolved.
