Any tips? I tried my usual after patch shenanigans, but they don't seem to fix the problem.

I have now tried restarting my computer, running both the launcher and repair clients as administrator, running the repair tool through the new launcher, as well as from the program directory. only to get the same error as posted above. Any help would be appreciated, as I am really starting to tire of having to spend 3 hours fixing the eve client almost every patch day. A DEV response would be appreciated, but it is not expected.

winXP 32 bit.

ERROR:

what an incredible piece of software I must say.

Make sure to close all open Internet Explorer windows/instances, then try to patch again (with admin rights). If that fails, too, reboot, then try again. My launcher screwed up when clicking links, somehow locking files it shouldn't.

@Aethlyn I also clicked a link in the launcher and didn't think anything of it at the time. May be a underlying problem here

One of the first things I did before posting.

Awesome. I tried this, launcher tried updating, said ready. Hit play, got the message saying that Awesomium.dll AND now Trinitydeploy.dll are now missing, and cant be launched... Which again, is.. Awesome.

So, I run repair tool, in a vain attempt, and have now wasted my lunch break, because I come full circle, again. Awesome.

Out of curiosity, does forcing your EVE client folder to be writable help?

No, unfortunately that has not solved the issue.

So, now, what would you suggest? I really do not want to completely nuke my entire installation, as that is a long time of downloading and patching. Oh, and thank you for replying Donut, it is indeed appreciated, even if sometimes the tones in my post are a wee bit sarcastic.
