Ok, so after the patch i attempted to do the following:

Launch my client and let it do whatever it wanted to do to update itself, this ended up in my game files becoming corrupt. I ran the repair tool and this worsened the problem.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of the client from the EVE Website and installed it. After attempting to launch the game i am met with the following error:

"The program or feature "\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\launcher.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available."

I cannot launch the Launcher.exe either it says it is not compatible with 64bit windows.

Running the repair tool on a fresh UNTOUCHED install produces this error:

See the logfile 'C:\Users\XXXX\Appdata\Local\Temp\nsgDA2F.tmp\repair.exe.log' for details

Before reinstalling i attempted to delete some essential files from my EvE directory and run the repair tool, the repair tool reported as being successful yet the files i deleted were not replaced.

Launching the game using the Exefile.exe file in EVE/bin worked successfully. Is this going to cause problems patching later?? we'll find out.

After having to download and reinstall the game completely last night just to find the only way i can launch the game is using the .exe in the eve/bin folder. This latest patch is now preventing me from playing.

CCP no longer allow manual download of patches.

I cant launch this ****** launcher because of what i said in my previous posts. The repair tool does absolutely nothing except give me an error after i close it at the point where it tells me repair was successful. I tried downloading the most recent repair tool from another thread and it did the exact same thing.

I have tried the following and nothing has allowed me to launch the game through normal means:

Rebooting and running the repair tool.

Downloading the most recent version of the repair tool through links by Dev's on these forums.

Reinstalling the game completely after downloading the 2 payloads via the website because i was UNABLE to download using the installer alone. (Does anything work properly?)

Running the repair tool exe with the following added "repair.exe --buildno=306979" and "repair.exe --buildno:306979"

Hi again,

Can you run the repair tool again, let it error and without closing it or clicking OK on the error box: Navigate to the folder where it puts the log and paste the error you're getting here.

This would be extremely helpful!

Also, don't run the repair tool with any / commands or switches. Just the repair.exe. What version of the repair tool is it that you have?

Here is the latest one: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/345/repair.exe

You can download it and drop it into the eve folder, Shift right click and run as administrator.

I am having the same problems, I couldn't patch, couldn't repair, couldn't re install.
I have gone as far as reformatting at this point. I am also using Windows 7 64 bit.
I am in the process of downloading the game now as I am typing this after my reformat
Trying to make eve the first thing I install. But my problems are very similar as described in the thread below.

here

This is getting very furstrating since the game was working just fine before the patch and now I cant even install it.
I am almost about to give up and request my money back since I have paid for the next few months.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for helping out. We haven't been able to reproduce this issue inhouse yet and this is very much a top priority for us to resolve.

Can you create a shortcut to your repair tool and run it with --dlthreads=1

at the end.

So the entire path should look something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\repair.exe" --dlthreads=1

See if that changes anything for you or if you get the same error.

Note that i have not even been able to download the patch including the launcher, the only way i was able to play the game was using the bin/eve exe after downloading a completely fresh install.

Can you run it again and have a look through the debug window and confirmif it says "downloadThreads = 1" at some point?
