All this, troll or not, over a video-game.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

Can CCP also come to my house and investigate the leak in my bathroom? I suspect goons secret police sabotaged it, and thats their way to put pressure on me, to make me vote for mittens.
Like it will do any good, we all know that eve players can stay unwashed for months. Ugh

Why do you find it surprising? Men are like children. And children always fight and bicker over their toys.

This theory doesn't hold water. You're all wet!

I have conducted a thorough and unbiased investigation into The Mittani's ingame conduct and personal character. The final report is 112 pages long, so I'll only include the summary as written by a prominent Gallentean political analyst:

Quote:
He's a complete bastard.

I am fully convinced this virtue will enable Mittani to function effectively as a representative for the average capsuleer.

Man, some guy makes a really long forum post about something involving CSM

Apparently it caused all the goonswarm that troll the forums to come to somebodies defense over something while they make wise ass comments about defending their CSM

Some CSM Guy whose also in goonswarm does the same thing as his friends did

Guess I'll do what I always do

Not vote, ***** about CSM, and then wonder what exactly the CSMs do again, and why am I'm bitching?

You're worried about the goons? You should worry about the AnimEigo Ninja Death Squad, which I have dispatched to appropriately "chastise" you. If you are very, very, very lucky, they may take pity on you and merely tie you up and force you to watch our latest release, "Growing Up With Hello Kitty", 42 times.

I mentioned offhand at the bookstore here at my University to another MerchI member that I was thinking of voting for Trebor, simply because he's given us RPG fans so much -- Wizardry, which inspired Dragon Quest... which then inspired Final Fantasy, which proves that there are unintended consequences to all good things; and AnimEIgo, which brought us Urusei Yatsura, one of the best anime in history

Anyway, by the time I got home to my apartment, a process taking about 10 minutes, no more, no less, someone had put up a giant fatbee on my door, with the following scribed in a dark red fluid, possibly the blood of virgins, I cannot be sure

"The Mittani Sends his Regards.

Upon tearing down the poster, I noticed underneath, in a slightly clear writing -- the tears of fat pubbies, no doubt -- an orate, Gothic script. "WE KNOW.

Upon falling backwards and voiding my bowls, I looked up and noticed no less than 3 people (and one squirrel in a ninja outfit, but I believe -- nay, pray -- that that was unrelated) staring at me as I went into my apartment, locked the door, double checked the deadbolt and barricaded the bathroom door, all without turning on any lights

I then used my laptop to immediately vote for the CEO of Space, Mittani, and took out a second student loan to sign up 137 buddy accounts and pay for 1 month each so I could vote for him as many times as humanly possible

Goons. VOTE MITTANI. Your life isn't worth a moment of insubordination.

Reading all the posts here and in other topics led me to one conclusion.
Goons seem to use the same tactic over and over again.

in no particular order:

1. Hiding the truth in plain site!!
2. Discrediting people that have diferent opinion then they do
3. Creating the cult of "Shajttani" or is it Mittani...tend to forget his name
4. Accuse people for alt posting... who cares, its still an expressed opinion
5. Telling the same thing over and over again (be it truth or lie, if something is repeated million times over, over time majority believe it to be the truth, especially if you dont posses the critical thought)
6. And all the things I forgot really
7. I am Alex Jones, so dont bother....

Take care all,
BR

Agreed brother, best candidate by far.

Honestly the extortion thing isn't that surprising to me, I lost interest in stories about Goons lack of morals around the 150th time. I am still not sure why they care anymore either though considering that pretty much everyone who's ever played EVE thinks that exact same thing.

But you do show good perseverance on this, and it's obviously well written with good research and truth considering that the Goons and the Mittani itself showed up to try and perform unneeded damage control. (Unneeded because this kind of thing must be in the How to be a Goon for Morons guide). And for that I give you a plus one.

With the introduction of this mail to the forums
SirMille wrote:
I am the CEO of a so-called "pubbie" corporation in Goonswarm. While most in this game would probably call me a goonie, I'm not one of the goonies by their own definition as I nor any of my corp members have a Something Awful account.

On the goonfleet.net forum I and my corp membership are routinely harassed by The Mittani's underling goonies who call us all "bad poster" despite our best efforts to make long an informative posts that cover all the bases. About half my corp is read-only right now as a result of attempt to defend themselfs against being harassed.

It's not likely that my corp will remain in GSF for much longer after I make this post but I've been emboldened by the posts of other "pubbie" members of the alliance to bring certain fact to light.

Most non-goonie corps in the alliance are given space/outposts/tech moons based upon the participation of their membership and their size. My corp isn't really involved much in PvP operations and instead helps with logistics and production so we only hold a small number (3) of Tech moons and no space to really call our own despite the fact we produce the majority of the alliance's subcapital ships which we are forced to sell to goonies "at cost," leaving the tech as our sole source of income most of which goes into reimbursing my line member's ship losses fighting wars we don't usually support. Invading Branch was stupid and we've lost billions of isk keeping the alliance in ships and the following is the thanks we get for all our hard work.

A few weeks ago I and the other non-goonie corps got this evemail from The Mittani, I copied it from evegate so pardon the formating.

Quote:

CSM7 Election Is Upon Us

From: The Mittani
To: SirMille, (other non-goonie corp CEO names removed)

Greetings Pubbie CEOs,

We need more than just goons voting, therefore all pubbies in the alliance (and CFC Allaiances who will be getting a different evemail) are hereby REQUIRED to vote for me when the polls open. It would behouve you and your membership to post your support on the eve-o forums in my candidacy thread as well.

We will be auditing all pubbie corps after the election is over, anyone unable to provide proof that they voted for me via screenshots is to have their assets seized for the alliance and to be purged from your corp. If we find that the majority of your corp didn't vote for me, you can fully expect to lose any tech moons, systems, outposts, or even possibly getting your corp purged from the alliance without notice. Service Guarantees Citizenship.

Regards,
The Mittani
I cannot keep quiet any longer. I told my corp membership to wait before voting and because of our likely imminent purging I will be having them evac their assets immediately and telling them to vote for anyone they want except The Mittani. Personally I am going to vote for Issler as he seems to be the best bet for those of us who do industry.

I must admit, I said Holy Cap a lot. How anyone would believe that The Mittani's spelling, grammar and literacy skills were so poor, I will never know. The only part I thought might be genuine is "Service Guarantees Citizenship." This was a rather badly executed fake.

On looking up the character however I discovered that SirMille was born just over a year ago. Just before the election for CSM6, I came to conclude SirMille is definately an alt. On further investigation it appeared that the corp "Sigma Kid Protection Services" seems to be full of alts with 12 characters few of which seem to have a Security status above 1.0.

This made me consider, was the post, (a clear troll) trying to tell me something. With comments from the CEO of Goonswarm stating
The Mittani wrote:
Another common theory is that a candidate who wins - one that you don’t like - couldn’t possibly have actual support among the players: their votes must come from hacking, abuse of the Buddy Account system, or using isk to create new accounts via PLEX
Now Im not going to accuse Goonswarm of Abuse of the buddy system. As creating a pile of accounts via the buddy system and using the account to vote is legal at this point in time. (Assuming the account is at least 60 days old.) Having older inactive accounts and activating them for the use of Voting on the CSM is a much easier and cheaper alternative.

All this begs the question of all the accounts who voted for The Mittani in this election how many actual people are there?

Given their ability to properly field fleets we know there are several hundred people in Goonswarm but I think you would be pushing it to find 1000-2000 actual goons. This is of course after you take out the spies currently in their alliance. So when The Mittani talks of having a mandate from the EVE community what he is really saying is that he has a mandate from his alliance plus their out of corp alts.

In last years election he scored 5,365 votes, but really to make him chairman of the CSM, if everyone has on average 3 accounts that means that only 1790 people or possibly less, actually voted for him and that's only assuming 3 accounts per player. In one of his blogs he states
The Mittani wrote:
‘dead voters’ are appearing in the polls as 5-day reactivation offers from CCP have allowed candidates to harvest the votes of unsubscribed accounts.
So possibly even less than 1500 hundred people put Mittani in his current position as Chairman of the CSM. With a total population of EVE being somewhere between 80,000 to 300,000 people the fact that such an insignificant number of people really voted for him give him. The Mittani however still likes to call this a mandate from the people.

The sheep from Null Sec will shout at this or drivel about something irrelivant to bury this. Think for you selves The Null Sec candidates may dress up their words but all they really care about is Null Sec.
