so what is better cake or pie?

so abit ago i talked with a friend about what would be better cake or pie

pie is good but in my opinion i would prefer cake my friend prefured pie though so we had like a one and a half hour discussion

Tell me what you think guys this situation has been bugging me for months LolLol cake or pie....

this may look like a signature... but it isn't

I would prefer cake, but that has the tendencey to be a lie so I'd go for pie just to be certain.

Pie for sure. More filling, comes in a variety of form from sweet to savoury.
Cakes are nice, but it's usually lighter. Its basic ingredients are more or less the same (minus flavour/texture) - a one trick pony.

I badly wanted to reply that bread pudding, warm, with ice cream on top was best but that would be cheating the question and demeaning the poll. So I am going to say pie. If I must be more specific then perhaps a slice of sweet potato pie made with sourwood honey, light pastry style crust, warmed, and served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top.
