Hi all, like you, I have a Mac, a 13 inch MacBook Pro with i5 proc and 8 gb ram, Intel HD3000 graphics, the ealry 2011 one.

Eve kept constantly freezing on me, i mean it was only a matter of time before it would just freeze up, even chat would not reload anymore. This was using the latest build of Lion, ok so just for giggles I backed it up to Time Machine, then I re-installed Snow Leopard, and updated it.

No crashes!!! I'm serious, I could only normally play like 10 to 20 minutes in Lion, and I noticed it was running VERY hot, in Snow Leopard it gets nowhere near as hot and runs just fine, as a matter of fact I just finished up The Blockade with nary a hiccup. Not to mention I can crank the graphics back up.

For those of you who want to try it out, you may be in for a pleasant surprise, yet it's a bummer I downgraded my operating system, but in all honesty, I don't mind all that much and I got my PowerPC functionality back (I can play Diablo II again!).

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, before I was running the latest build of Lion.

There is a thread for this issue:

I don't think a lot of people are gonna accept that as a solution, but glad it works for you and might narrow it down for the devs.

IMO Lion sucks big time. I would go back to Snow Leopard if I had a time machineSad.

I run in Bootcamp, so, NP

I just updated from 10.6.8 to 10.7.3. No crashes or lockups.

Maybe its the reinstall of the OS thats needed. Which OS is not the issue.

Yeah upgrading to Lion fixed a bunch of graphics bugs I had in SL.

When Apple is planning to release a new OS in less than a year, even they know that Lion is a fail. Similar to Microsoft and Vista.

I have had no issues on a clean install of Lion at all. I have now switched to using bootcamp and the Windows client since I wanted access to Skyrim too. No issues at all on the Windows client either.
