Sometimes while docking you get a notification saying the docking has started, and that its gonna take around 10 seconds, which is never really a problem, unless you have just warped down to the station from a snipe spot because a fleet of Alpha Maels are having fun times on your undock.

TLDR, I got pwned in my 10 second docking timer, whats the deal with the timer, not really fussed/whining/petitioning it was a Hurricane I lose them every three seconds anyhow, just wondering what the whole thing is with that, why is the timer there is it kinda like traffic control or something of that nature.

And no, its not session change timer I hadnt session changed for like 2 minutes.

If you warped from a spot to the station, chances are you didn't land exactly in docking range and had to impulse into range.

You really cant die at staitons anymore unless you warp-to-0 on one and it puts you 2000m away (working hilariously)

The shortened timer means fatter ships have increased survival rates. Even the stations with the tiniest dock radius are now 100% safe to undock from in a Jumpfreighter, even with a hostile camp

Just simply undock. hit stop. watch the timer and jump or dock. You'll never drift outside the dock range with the new shortened timers. (You never really did before the change ether, but this just ensures your success now)

Actually, I think the Caldari Doom Fortress is tiny enough that you are pretty much bound to drift out of docking range, unless your ship is very agile and you're very quick on the stop-button.

I think it has to do with the shape of it — it's very boxy and fits very snugly within its collision box.

Go to Jita 4-10 and have a look.

ITT: people who didn't read the OP.

Yeah I've had this happen once too. All I can say is that it seems to be extremely rare, and in my case happened when TiDi was in effect due to a gate jump, which leads me to believe it might be related with the changing queue. I'd petition it anyway for reporting purposes.

Your TL;DR is longer than your post! Are you sure you can count?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Hmmm, yes, I seem to have somewhat missed the point of TLDR in that one, well maybe the people who normally need TLDRs will read it and in term become more competent at you know, reading :P

Clearly you read the whole post, so you are not one of those by the by.
