1. Black hair is not black on model


2. Facial Hair Color slider, no effect on model

At least for #1 I think it's intended. If you cut your hair really short you won't see the full hair color unless there are really lot sof hairs left. It also depends a bit on lighting. The "cut" hair on the hair style I'm using doesn#t look perfectly black either, but it looks reasonable (under lighting most likely a bit blueish).

It doesn't look remotely black versus the light goatee which is clearly black. Look at his eyebrows for crissakes.

I know what black looks like because that is the haircut I have, and I have black hair.

It also has nothing to do with lighting.

for #2 try with a color that isnt black as it if i remember correctly just modifies the saturation, and saturation on black is always black, its not brightness or anything its amount of color, and black is always black.

Yes... it goes from black to the color you picked.
In Cruicible 1.5 we have changed it so slider is now gradient (going from black to your color), and the opacity sliders are gradients from transparent to solid your color.
