Thorax +1 Med slot?

The Thorax just need more PG so it can fit a 1600 plate and medium guns. Without an ancil router.
the omen is just depressing. Rupture is fine as it is. You can fit 1600 with 220 and have left over room.
Vexor is solid as well.

Caracal is bleh, sure it has good range, but thats about it.

1600mm fits with electrons and Gnolution/Squire implant.

The idea was just to ask for more flexibility. Not that I asked +500 og or something...

Yes it fits with fitting mods and an implant.. Which brings me back to my point... The rupture needs none of that, it can fit a 10mn MWD, a full rack of 220's T2 and 1600 plate.. Even has enough room left over for 2 small neuts.

So not only does it maintain a speed advantage, it can still work on capping a rax out. As for comparing the other cruisers..A rupture makes short work of the rest, except for an Arby, in which its still able to kill.

A lot of this simply is not true.

* The Thorax only needs 1 PG Rig for a 1600mm Plate.
* 5 Electrons on a Thorax actually do more Damage then a Rupture with 220mm Guns.
* The Thorax's larger natural HP gives the Thorax the close the same EHP as a 1600mm Rupture with 3 Trimarks. It is only off by 3k EHP which it makes up for in Dmg.
* Despite having the same HP the loss of 1 Trimark puts the Thorax at very close to the same speed as the Rupture. Only short 24m/s
* Thorax Guns alone can do more Dmg then Autocannons but it has enough Drone Space to Mediums and further increase its Dmg.
* The Thorax can run both ECM and combat Drones.

Yes the Armor Rupture can fit to Small Neutralizers but they don't do as much good as people think Cruiser vs Cruiser. The Thorax also has a 3rd more Capacitor when fitting a MWD.

To say an Armor Rupture is so wholly Superior to a Rupture because of a Rig that doesn't lower it's HP much, the larger guns that do less Damage and 2 Tiny Neuts without taking into account the extra advantage Drone Bay is silly.

I fly this ship quite a bit since the patch and I have flown the 1600mm Plate for a long time before and they are both incredible Ships. I prefer the Thorax because DPS wise it blows the Armor Rupture out of the water. With Void and Hammerheads you can break 600 DPS on overheat. With CN AM and Warriors you get 475 with heat. My preferred use of CN AM and Valks puts me at 525 DPS.

It is a Damn good ship. So is the Rupture but the new Thorax is excellent.

It wouldn't do nearly as much as you expect. Web drones have a stacking penalty. CCP mentioned looking into removing it, but it never happened.

Five heavies reduce a targets speed by about 40%.

So 5 mediums would be a reduction of ~20%.

And finally 5 lights at a -10% speed reduction.
