Perhaps you should tell this to the spambots advertsing your candidacy 23/7 in Jita.

Skye Aurora is a 7 year old Girl Who Wants to be on the CSM! Unfortunately, the Lawyers say you have to be 21 - oh well.

What I was wondering and tell me to put my till foil hat back on if need be, but would it be hard to implement a system that disconnects us miners for inactivity. As a back up system while they search for botters or if they have more changes at CCP.
For instance after we have been mining for say 2 hours including going back and forward to the station. Possibly changing ships a few times(Just thinking about what a bot programmer might think of) and still mining above 65% of what we are capable of. We are then given a pop-up message with one of those funny squiggly sets of text like hotmail and everyone uses to prevent bots. If we don't complete it in say 20 minutes (Allowing for the afk nature of some miners) we are logged off as inactive.

Is this doable or do I go back to my tin foil hat? the best ones come from pizza boxes(Free cheese).

It is "doable", but it's also an inconvenience and horrible immersion-breaker for legitimate miners who have to type codewords into a box every 20 minutes to keep their mining op going, and since there are bots available that can read and break captcha systems it wouldn't even be effective once botting programs were updated to counter them.

The reason mining is so heavily botted is that it's a repetitive, tedious, and relatively low-reward activity. Changing that would be a positive move both for combating botting and improving the experience of the real human beings who want to mine.

Yeah really, another horrible idea - just what's needed.

CCP has a way of detecting botters and we can easily see them in local in empire when they are around.
Use the button - Report them!
