For the other WH dwellers out there - I want to know if you're experiencing the same as my Corp.

When we first moved into our C2 it was quite rare to see any other WH exits other than our statics. But these days, it's very different. It is now not uncommon for us to see a total of 6 WH's appearing in our system each day.

Anyone else finding this, too? Or is my Corp just experiencing a barrage of strange luck?

Did you apply the appropriate lotion, the Dev blog instructed you to, before entering Wormholes? CCP tries so hard to communicate to the players, and people like you just don't try at all to keep up to date.

I know they're trying to make WH's more difficult to live in. Don't remember reading anything about them spawning more WH's, tho. Please linky, wise-one.

By the way - this is not a whine.

Edit: Just spent an hour trawling the forums and Google. Can't find any mention of a change that increases the amount of WH's spawning in a WH system. I do my best to keep up-to-date with the Devs and the community, and having been a WH dweller for over 2 years now I would have noticed a mention like that in any release notes/discussions. So if the change is there I'm guessing this was a stealth change that I have missed.

I'd appreciate useful people posting useful information instead of lotion-loving trolls Roll

well the normal turn of events is when you are overrun with holes you shove things in and out of them until they disappear.

But then you always have that one hole that just keeps hanging around.


Its then that you realise that you have yourself a permanent hole


Accept that this is a normal way of living and you wont go wrong.
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

Yeah, we normally use Orca's w/ MWD to collapse 'Holes. But doing it on a almost daily basis is a bit annoying now. We have a C2 and Low-Sec static, which we will raid and/or run complexes if we can. But having an additional 4 to deal with makes things a little more interesting than I like. Like I said, this never use to be the case. It was a 'privilege' to get a 3rd 'Hole appearing once a week, let alone a 4th, 5th and 6th every other day.

Like I say, it's not a moan. I'm just wondering if other WH Corps are experiencing this. That's all

In my experience it's random. In December we had a period of 20 days without ANY holes except the static, including incoming K162's. On day 21 we had 5 including 2 k162's from High-Sec.
And although 20 days in a row is really exceptional , as is 5 in one day, it is not unheard of.

Random is random and as far as I know, nothing has changed.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Well, the question would be "Are they incoming or outgoing?

If you're seeing more outgoing holes, then yes, maybe CCP did change something. But, I've pretty much had only my static +/- various random incoming with no increase in frequency.

If you're seeing more incoming holes, then the chances are there's just more traffic due to more people in w-space. In the beginning you could go weeks without seeing another soul

What I've observed is that yes, there are periods of increased frequency of connecting holes. And it seems to follow a waveform. You have your peaks and you have your troughs. But in all things w-space these days, you have to account for increased w-space population which inherently increases the average frequencies.

They are mostly incoming. I did not consider the increase in frequency being a product of WH's being more populated than before. That is a good point, and I'm ashamed I didn't realise that myself! Although, I was under the impression that C1 and C2 WH activity had declined due to the more/just-as profitable and less risky Incursions. The majority of K162's I see are C2's, so perhaps Incursions hasn't affected WH's as much as is suggested.

But as the two posts above me have both stated - peaks and troughs are all about WH life, and perhaps I'm just experiencing an extended peak Bear

I think it makes wormholes more exciting and dangerous this way, more entrances mean it can be used as a hub for your corporation to get about places quickly, but it also means you have to be on guard for players accidentally wondering in.

That is very close to the truth Karn, but you forgot about the lotion needed before shoving things in holes. No one pays attention anymore, just want to get it over, feel satisfied, and go to bed.
