1. What is the best Gallente corp for missioning in? I have been missioning in the Gallente Federation Intelligence (I think that is what it's called) for the last few hours and I'm not sure I should be changing to Fed Navy (I aim for combat missions primarily).

2. Do agents offer largely the same reward? Has quality been removed from EVE?

3. If I have a good standing with a Gallente corp (Fed Intel), will this standing reflect on another corp... for instance, Fed Navy? Or will I have to start the missions from lvl1 all over again for a different corp?

4. Do lvl4 mission-goers tend to stray away from highsec agents near lowsec due to the fact that some missions have a risk sending the player into neighbouring lowsec systems?

5. LP - what are these, can I ONLY spend them on crappy LP store items, can I trade them in for ISK?

6. Is there a corp that focuses almost primarily on combat missions that in turn offer great rewards?

I don't know where to start... I'm just looking for a combat corp that gives me high-rewarding missions in highsec from lvl1-4. Is fed navy the way to go or...?

All this info is already online if you know where to look, but as a general guide...

1. There is no "best" corp to mission in. If you use the in-game Agent Finder (People and Places - Agents - Agent Finder) then you can see how many agents of your chosen type (for example Security) each corp has at each level.

2. Agents no longer have Quality ratings - they are all the same and have been for some time.

3. All corps track their own standings and own LP separately. Work your butt off for one and another will turn their nose up at you (unless you have also raised your Gallente main faction standings too). Beware that raising one main Faction higher will always have negative effects on their enemies. As will shooting the ships or structures owned by that enemy.

4. Yes, the proximity to low sec does affect the chance of a mission being in low sec. Here is a link to a wiki run by Eve University about this with some suggestions... http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Mission_Hubs

5. LP can be traded in for items that are decidedly non-crappy if you have enough of them. +5 implants, ship blueprints, Fed Navy Armour Reppers... you can't trade them directly for isk but you can "buy" the items with LPs then sell them on the Contracts market.

6. No - all Corps that offer Security missions will offer similar rewards

As for your question about Fed Navy, I would look at that wiki for a Security corp with a pair of level 4 agents in the SAME system (so you can decline any stinkers), not near low sec and preferably with a storyline agent of the same corp nearby.

Fairhand has answered your questions but I'll just add a couple of points about missions as I did alot of carebearing around Sinq / Everyshore when I was a newer player.

I'll just throw a couple of things out:

Navy corps like Fed Navy typically have alot of Logistic stations where you can install jump clones - but the LP stores tend to be worse as a majority of MRs run for them, They also have more locator agents - something else you will find useful later and can be a source of extra income.

Fed Navy do have a couple of items in their LP store that always seem to be in demand, namely Fed Navy Webs and Mag Stabs, other Gallente LP stores stock these as well - do your research (hint: Ellatha). Typically it's the 5-run BPC that is more profitable and I think you only get that from the science corps, see below.

Science corps are generally better for the LP store and some have R&D agents for passive income. They also have locator agents and jump clone services, just not as many, generally as the Navy.

Science corps also have some of the same items in the LP store as the navy but less of them and they also have items that you can't get in the navy stores IIRC like the Prospector hardwires that have various bonuses for explorers and probably have a better return for LP than most hardwires - this varies.

If I were you I would look at Roden Shipyards - they have a couple of good agents in 0.5 systems that are not near low sec and R&D agents. Also Duvolle. You can use sites like eve-agents to find agents.

Some more obscure corps are well worth running for. Thukker Mix and the other Thukker corp are not in Gallente space but they are near and the LP store is a little treasure house - sorry for that giving away :)

If I were you I would avoid doing anti-faction missions, i.e. ones that get you to shoot Amarr and Minnie.
