Custom molding. Pouring my own

Hello all.
I have a small project I'd like to start. It's a custom tool storage solution. I have a tool box, medium size. With screw drivers, wrenches, the whole lot. I'd like to poor a mold that would fit into my tool box after it settled and cured with a spot for every tool. Basically while making a mold that would fit into the shelving for the tool box I would place each of my screw drivers and wrenches and other tools about half to 2/3 of the way down into the mold and leave a fitting indent for that particular tool. Making a jig to fit the tool box wouldn't be hard, and I already have the tools to make the mold for. But I need advice on what material i could use and where to find it that I could make this idea a reality for me.

I'd like the final solution to feel either rubbery, or like plastic. Want to stay away from plaster.
I've done a little research into it and online everyone seems to have small hand size putty or silicone projects. Also want to stay away from putty.

If you are familiar with the world of molding lend me your knowledge.
Thanks

Yes, I complain about things I don't like.
