XML Schema in Excel for imports?

I decide to make a spreadsheet for keeping track of price data across various regions. I'm importing the data from Eve Marketeer--the problem is a matter of formatting. I had better luck with XML than CSV, but every time I try to import the data for another item, I get a message saying "schema doesn't exist, Excel will create a new one."
My question: How do I fix this? Or is there an entirely different way I can do this sort of thing?
Any advice appreciated.
