Missioning in highsec

I'm sick of trading and I'm thinking of starting to head towards a missioning alt, for ISK purposes.

Problem is, I want to stick to highsec missions. What level do highsec missions offer? Does it only go up to ~3?

Also, is it possible to solo Incursions in a Domi?

Levels 1 through 4 are in high sec. Level 5 is low sec only. L4s are bread and butter for mission runners.

Incursions are not solo content. Your Dominix might not die, but it also won't get paid out even if you manage to clear a site.

Can LvL4's be self-sufficient for a PvP account + it's own account? What's the ISK like?

Also, what is the best race for missions? I heard the Domi droneboat just chews through lvl4's...

There is no 'best' race for mission running and decently setup ships from every race are able to churn thru lvl4s. domi is fine, but there are way better for mission completion time.

Some would argue caldari ships best overall, because of their great capacity to shield tank and decent DPS output. Others would point out that nothing finishes a combat mission quicker than a well flown machariel (minmatar / gallente) ... and nightmare pilots would then jump up and down and accuse them of talking joyous-stuff. Rattlesnake (caldari / gallente) has huge stable shield tank and decent drone / missile DPS whenskills get up.

Go for what you enjoy. If ya want to fly domi, go for it and see how you find her in missions.

I rarely mission (but am right now) and when I do it's in a tengu ... caldari and heavy missiles.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Highsec missions go up to Level 4.
Running Level 4 missions will provide more than enough income to support a pvp alt and even enough for a PLEX every month.

Any Battleship can handle Level 4 missions, it just depends how you want to complete them.
A Gallente droneboat Dominix will tank almost any L4 mission as it's drones slowly chew through the NPC.
A Minmatar Maelstrom with autocannons will rip through any L4 using huge DPS and an XL shield booster as tank.

It all depends what playing style you prefer and how fast you want to earn the isk.

Also, remember to salvage and loot!!!

There are some folks who claim that blitzing missions and abandoning the salvage and loot yields a higher isk/hour ratio than stopping to clear everything up. If you have a second account then salvaging is more time economical but if you are limited to one account there may be some utility in just ploughing through consecutive missions.

I agree that L4's are the way to go.
The Salvage and Loot are very important as well!

We offer a very nice service in many of the L4 mission hubs to salvage your wrecks for you.
It's a very convenient and legitimate service to the solo runner...
