"Indy help needed" corp hanger

I'm making a corp that is going to be doing alot of t2 building, and i need a way for my members to build/inv stuff out of the corp hangers in stations without risking some1 stealing 300 mil of mats every now and then.

i have looked abit about and asked a few people but no1 seems to know how to do this without risking people stealing

hope some1 can help me and let the troll stay under the bridges

I do believe if they can take it to manufacture, they can take it to steal. You can either only put in what they need for the current job, or just make sure you trust those you give access to.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

This pretty much, if they can build they can steal.
If trust is an issue, you've got a couple of options, either

Limit what's in that hangar, that way should someone develop sticky fingers, they don't have that much of an impact.

Or assign specific people specific jobs, I'm not docked at the moment, but you might be able to put their materials in a station container, password protect it and give them the password, then they can drag their materials to the hangar and build away. Just make sure they can't take the cans from the hangar.

You could give each person a separate tab, which would then be "safe". That limits you to seven people manufacturing though.

assuming you have one office (or two, and you set people "based at" the second), you SHOULD be able to use the "Hangar Access (Other)" masks to help keep things split up. Then you can split things between the 7 hangars based on what they're used for...

Yeah this is really part of the issue with industry currently. Many industrial activities are limited by the corp security settings.

i do belive that to be true and it needs to be fixed!!
for i would say that ccp wants eve to be a sandbox but eve has to many things you can not do atm
and it needs to be looked more into

the indy side of eve needs more work. and its sad that ccp has not seen this

Your biggest concern isn't about hangar access, that's easily resolved by granting access only hangar which prevents anyone from taking from the hangar and still be able to build from that hangar (assuming the station has manufacturing service).

Your biggest concern would be the one person who will cancel every one of your manufacturing, research and invention job and thus, resulting in the loss of material.

People have been asking CCP for improved safety features for POS structures FOREVER now. This issue has been made even more important with the addition of wormholes, forcing people to live out of POS' for extended periods. I've pretty much given up hope on seeing any changes that allow increased structure management, and can't see CCP bothering with it.

Its a real shame, because you'd think they would have sorted a better system by now. Extra tabs that can be specifically named for each structure, better corp-management options for security as well as a method so people can keep their stuff seperate for eachother would be amazing.

But, i've been holding my breath for years now, don't expect i'll be surprised anytime soon.

yes that to. but nothing you can do if some1 wanna do that.
CCP needs to fix this for its a huge problem!!!
