A refreshing view all around Roc, I will support you for the simple reason that you want to represent the players, not a single game altering idea or set of ideas, CSM from what I understand is about electing someone to represent the players and listen to each issue and deal with them accordingly, it is not about electing one idea over the other. I for one would like the CSM to be as impartial, Informed, and Fair as possible, which does not seem to be what other candidates are offering, they are offering game design ideas, often specific ones that they will stand to gain from.

Just to let you know. +2 votes.

CSM needs a 'person' in there, not a politician. You come off as having motivation and drive, and are saying 'put something in front of me and I will give it 100%. Not give my agendas 100%.' Hence my votes.

Also you're a Brutor. So, y'know, bros before ladies of the night and such.

Thank you, brother. I will do us proud should I secure a seat on the Council.

In the end it always comes down to one issue, so here is my one issue which will be my "mother of all issues" for the next couple of years I assume/fear.

What is your opinion on microtransactions? (feel free to expand it to Walking In Stations and the NEXStore as they are closely related)

I'd also be interested in hearing your thoughts here, especially given the abandonment of your old application (Capsuleer), after failing to monetize it to your satisfaction.

How would you feel about microtransactions that went to third party application or service developers? Is this better than only paying for such things with ISK, as all other developers (who want to be rewarded with more than the satisfaction of creating a successful application or service) do?

How does your capitalistic reasoning for the end of Capsuleer relate to your stance on microtransactions?

Firstly, let me correct your misconception about why Capsuleer ended. It wasn't about a failure to monetize. It was a failure in honouring business agreements through lack of internal structure on CCP's end. It's old news. Get over it.

To answer the question of microtransactions, let me go with the obvious:

- microtransactions should never offer an advantage in gameplay

In regards to third party developers:

- they should be able to monetize in some form

Should these issues be brought to the CSM table, it is then I would work with the team to formulate a more detailed answer, after getting the input of other CSM members, as well as the third party development community and the player base as a whole.

Business agreements that, for the most part, would've allowed you to monetize, right? If so, in what way is what I stated a misconception? If it wasn't about a failure to monetize, for what possible reason would you have abandoned it?

I never used it, nor would I purchase the shiny plastic required in order to be in a position to, so I have nothing to get over. I bring it up since I believe that your inability to monetize your third party application caused you to abandon it, which leads me to believe that you may be more sympathetic to CCP introducing microtransactions, even in a form that players have objected to, than other candidates. If I'm wrong, then I certainly apologize, but I think it's worth discussing while I and others decide what to do with our remaining votes.

This topic was brought up last year a lot when I ran last year as well.

Despite popular consensus, the reasons PyjamaSam and I walked away from Capsuleer had nothing to do with monetization or licensing. It was about how we were handled by CCP. I'm going to be blunt here for a moment. When I say "Get over it", I mean get over the topic. I've never gone into it in detail previously, and I won't now. It's old news and frankly nobody's business.

As for me being more risky for microtransactions than other candidates, that's nonsense. As I've stated, any microtransaction that becomes required or offers one player an advantage over another is not what I personally want. Strictly for vanity.

But again, you're missing my campaign platform. What I want is irrelevant. It's about what the players want, and what is the best way to achieve that. Equipping myself with that knowledge amongst my CSM peers is what gives us a united position to talk to CCP with.

So no, I'm not a risk for microtransactions, or anything else. I have no agenda to push other than yours as a player.

Vote on that.

Never start a fight you can win.
