what is the perfect M.E level on a thanny, i thought it was 10, but eve hq stating 11 now, with prod eff 5

trade skills, does your faction standing in an area of a trade hub, ie caldria for jita, lower the cost of buy orders, etc with maxed trade skills

But at ME 2, your only waste is (2) Capital Drone Bays, worth about 6M each.

At ME 3, that drops to (1) lost Capital Drone Bay per build.

At 33.33 days per ME point (not including a 5% ME research implant), not sure why you'd spend the time to go from ME 3 up to 10 or 11, just to save about 6M ISK every 12-13 days.

On the trade skills, AFAIK, only "NPC corp to you" standings matter.

Largest quantity of material at M.E. 0: Capital Drone Bay = 61
Base Waste: 10%

Perfect M.E. = FLOOR(61 / ((1 + 10%) / (2 * 10%))) = FLOOR(61 / 5.5) = 11

Tip: the divisor is always 5.5 for a 10% base waste BPO, and 10.5 for a 5% base waste BPO.

Both faction standings and corp standings matter it seems.

having good faction or corp standings does not affect what you pay for goods, but affects the tax and other fee's. with a high enough standing with the corp owning the station you will pay no tax.

For example Jita 4-4 is caldari navy faction.

My main has standings over 7.2 with caldari navy.

I pay no tax.

with a +2% refining implant I get 100% refine with no hold back. (only get 99.5% refine without the implant)

It doesn't seem like much but with the 0.01 isk trade wars so common in Jita it can make the difference between making a profit or not making a profit. small margins can mean big bucks when there is billions of isk changing hands.

I can confirm that. I have no standing with the caldari navy, but with -4 or so with the caldari I pay well over 1% at Jita.

Also that chart makes it look like faction standing matters more than Corp standing and that you always will pay about .2%. (I guess i can go to an SOE station and test this.)

Long story short, you're spot on. Thanatos had a perfect of me 10, then they altered the components used in the build and it's now me 11.

Although the ship didn't get noticably more expensive, there's more drone bays used, which causes another level of me to be effective.
