The new blueprint to quickbar utility is pretty non-obvious. The biggest complaint I heard from my new playing friend was that there are so many features that are hidden. This is awesome, but in about 10 minutes I'm going to forget that I need to hold shift and this feature disappears for me forever.

Do Team Avatar have any input on the In-game Browser?

If you do, is it possible to open your bookmarks in a new browser tab?

Shift or Ctrl left clicking on the browser bookmarks doesn't do anything, nor does right clicking as it appears to function the same as left click.

Could right-click on a browser bookmark open up a context menu at all? Maybe containing "Open in current tab", "Open in new tab" and "remove"?

I might send you cookies if you can do that :D

oooooo, cookies P
Well, Team Avatar doesn't really have any input on the Ingame browser, but as a ui developer I do. We in Team Avatar will hopefully be able to continue to grab little tasks here and there, so this is something we could look into (or Team Superfriends, which is also doing small ui changes).
Of course there are a lot of people asking for a lot of little things, so there is a very long list of them, so I cannot say when someone can investigate this, but I'll at least add it to my list P

Thanks for clearing that up and adding it to the list Smile

Can we get a keyboard shortcut for "open fuel bay" for ships which have one? It would make my life as a JF/capital pilot much easier.

Recently a player on the forums discovered an awesome new tool, the Compare Tool. Well, it's actually been around for years, but I still managed to convince a few people that it was brand new, and tried to take all the credit for it. My friends in that thread asked for a shortcut for it, so a shortcut they get :) An optional button for the Neocom will be added soon when an icon for it has been made.
And when comes the Shortcut for the Fitting Management?
Alt+F and click Browse?

That's not a shortcut. That's hitting a shortcut, loading a quite resource-intensive window with a slow animation (especially when you have many modules fitted), then finding a button and clicking it, and last closing the window you opened for the sole purpose of opening another window. I support adding a real shortcut.

Woo! For the little things!
And the developers who focus on them!

Also, I'd like to add that I would rather not have my own orders standing out in the market window, in spite of being a daytime trader. Why? Simply because it would make it easier to create market bots. And I, for one, do not want moar bots in my markets.

That said, the trader profession has been needing some love. The fact that you guys moved the "cancel order" in the right-click menu was awesome, and now stuff just keeps coming.

There's one thing I'd like, UI-wise, and that's the ability to make folders in the "my orders" page. But I have this feeling of "our love can never be" :P

hi!

BTW you guys are my favorite team.

So I heard you're making a compare tool icon.

Can I drag and drop a module on that icon to compare it with the rest of the ones in it's family?

Dual Pane idea: Click!

One of the 'little things' I'd mentioned was the possibility of a third status message on missions. Currently we have 2. Offered, in yellow, and Accepted, in green.

Would a 3rd, Completed, in a light blue or similiarly distinct color be implementable? (and is this even close to being considered part of the U I? Oops )

Very good little things that i guess many players, me included, have been wanting a long time.

These are the kind of little improvements that make pixel ship warriors happy.

Little things matter :D

*decides to jump on the band wagon*

One for the web team I think. On the RSS feeds you can setup from the forum search could the content start with "poster - sub forum" and then what's been posted?

Thanks =D

Curiosity killed the Kata... ... but being immortal he wasn't too worried about keeping a count.

CCP Karkur, could You satisfy our curiosity about this post? Smile
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=909039#post909039

I know you told earlier its not so easy, but we would like to know how it compare to the other idea than sending tones of queries each time.

After i look into my API i realized one more thing... all I wrote is 'probably' coz I dont know exactly how the mechanism works on the server.

When client ask for market, server know who is asking for it.
Also when orders are taken from DB, for sure you know who created each order.
So putting the flag: 1 - your order, 0 - not your order, when sending back to client shouldn't be resource expensive.
Assuming - you don't have to send player ids (you said you don't want to do that);

So after this 2 ideas:
- adding flag your/not your to returned market list
- cashing orders ids once (if not cashed) during first market query or when opening wallet>orders and modifying that list when changing market orders only in the client.

I would really, really appreciate the answer for our speculations and ideas. Best wishes :]

I'll take a look when I have some time (I'm kind of in the middle of something now, and need to focus on that).
I have not looked that well into this so I cannot say for sure, but I don't think it's trivial to change this... but let me look into it and get back to you Smile

Dear mr Karkur, you wrote earlier:

Why not send a RequestorID along with your market list request, the server can flag the matching orders in it's client return.

I'll ask some server experts, but I'm guessing there is one order list that everyone gets, and it's going to add too much extra work on the server to be distributing different orders to the clients.

Have you gotten a comment from "some server experts" yet? It'd be very interesting to hear a solution to color coding your own orders in the market Cool

CCP Karkur, awesome work! thank you soo very much!!

one little thing actually... in terms of UI and small things that would help out a lot...

could you possibly make the comments section of a characters show info window be tabbed to show comments on that character from corp mates and alliance mates?
obviously dont throw all the comments already on characters comments section to those tabs, but if you could make it so we can write comments corp wide and alliance wide if we need to, thatd be amazing!

hope u have a good day! keep up the good work! =)
