A few questions regarding jump clones.

Do you need an 8.0 personal standing with the npc corp or does your corps standings need to be 8.0 with the npc? Also can you only install jc's in stations that the npc corp owns or can you use any stations? Thanks for the help.

As far as I know, either you or your corp need a 8+ standing towards the station owner.
And that station needs a medical facility to install the jump clone.

Corp standing is enough to qualify. There are even some corporations that will allow you to "buy" a jump clone by simply joining them for a fee. Some corps (like EVE University) also have strict rules regarding personal standings of members to ensure everyone is able to use jump clones due to the corp standing (which is an average value of all members that aquired at least some standing towards or against some corporation or entity).

There are services that can get you jump clones with out the standing.
There is also CVA space where you should be able to dock and get a JC setup.

Or you can just hop in nullsec and catch the pod-express for a standing-free ride to your clone without implant, no need to worry ever again and you can happily go pewpewing.

Here's an extensive article on Jump Clones on the EVElopedia. Which I can't recommend enough for anything you're curious about in EVE.

But of course this forum is also a pretty bulletproof way of getting replies thanks to friendly people who hang out here ;)

You can only /create/ the jump clone in one of those NPC corp stations (with a medical bay)

You can then fly to another station and jump to the new clone.

You now have a clone installed at that other station. If you have the skill for it, you can immediately create a new jumpclone in that station. Though you won't be able to repeat the fly and jump for 24 hours.



Best way to think about it:

Jump clones are just other bodies. You can leave them anywhere; you can only create new ones where you have standing for it.

Your medical clone is a special one, that's set up for the 'oh crap I'm dying' jump. The only way to jump to it is to die.

There are a few people with Rorquals that will allow you to create jump clones without the need for standings. Used one of those services last night (sorry, not sure if I'm allowed to reference other posts in here) and got a shiny new clone without leaving my corp or needing 8.0 standing.

Send me an eve mail if you want to know who provided this service or let me know if I can reference other posts.

Edit: Sorry, should have mentioned the service is free but it's polite to leave a tip.

I believe that's right; if you have 8.0 standing and your corp doesn't, the NPC corp will give you access to their jump clone facilities because they like you personally. If your corp has 8.0 standing with the NPC corp and you've never dealt with the NPC corp before, they'll allow you access because they like the people you work for.

(The caveat is: if you take missions and develop a standing with the NPC corp, you may end up dragging the corp's standing below 8.0, because the corp standing is the average standing of all corp members who have standing with the NPC corp. EVE University has a standing rule that members are not to take missions with certain corps with which the University has an 8.0 standing, because one person taking one mission might be enough to wipe out the University's jump-clone access.)
