Seriously People…

I mean, it’s all well and good to express an opinion that is constructive, well thought out and logical.. However, the amount of vitriol, rhetoric and plain old ‘spoiled child’ syndrome expressed here is just silly.

It seems like every time CCP attempts to make changes to the game people rage over the littlest little thing and basically say that it’s their ball and they are going home. I mean, come on. The game has to change and only last summer people were asking CCP to concentrate on the spaceship aspects and now that they are altogether too many people are behaving like spoiled children here.

Overall, the skill tree changes are pretty minor and they are getting rid of the tiers – something that any thinking player knows that needs to be done. There are going to be more viable ships to fly now and the Ray Butt’s of the game are going to come up with more fleet doctrines – it’s going to be a good thing. Variety is good – getting rid of the tiers is going to increase the variety of fleet compositions.

The skill tree changes are pretty minor and are logical in their approach. CCP has stated that while they are not sure on the nuts and bolts of the implementation in regards to the skill points, they have stated multiple times that you won’t have to skill for ships that you can fly today – so it’s all good.

So everyone relax and don’t be so resistant to change. What are we a bunch of cranky 85 year old bitter vets sitting on the porch polishing the shotgun warily watching the neighbourhood kids getting too close to the lawn or what?

So everyone relax and chill. And the ones who refuse to, please do us all a favour and rage about another game in a different forum.

I'M ANGRY!

I'm a paying customer which means my voice MUST be heard! I get a say in everything that happens with regards to development in EVE and I'm DISGUSTED that CCP didn't consult me first!

The changes are fine though, keep up the good work CCP.

We might as well demand to be compensated as well as possible for this instead of taking it lying down. Let's go over the ways this could hurt you.

- You trained BSV for the sole purpose of getting a cap. That's at least 30 days of wasted training you will never see back or get use from.
- You trained assault frigates to get HACs. That's about 10 days for the pre-reqs and level 4 AF.
- You trained covops to get recons. Again, 10 days of useless pre-reqs and covops 4.
- You trained a cruiser 5 to be able to fly the CS of that race but had no interest in the cruisers of that race. 20 days wasted SP.
- You trained logistics to be able to fly Fleet CS. Well damn, it won't require that anymore. Wasted SP.

Overall it's a LOT of potential waste to occur and I feel all the affected skills should be zeroed and reimbursed in full. I'm not against change as long as it doesn't set me back. But currently it's shaping up to do just that.

How the **** does that set you back? You still keep all your skills if you trained them. If you choose to not use them, it's your own private personal loss. The guy that trained BSV to get to Capitals...this change will not touch him. With or without the change, he can fly BS's at lvl V and Capitals at whatever level he had.

The joke is a lot of these people claim they're adults, you'd think this would get rid of the stereotype of spoilt children by now, but no :P

Well said, Riedle.

Actually, I LIKE all the ragequits that are flying all over the place right now. Here's how I see it:

The players that scream, rant and ragequit over every change should just go. Quit. Go play some other game. If you're so inflexible and resist change then you're the last thing I need in my corp and alliance. I need players who can roll along, work with the rest of us as a team to get things done.

I LOVE these wholesale changes, mostly because it weeds out a bunch of poor players that weren't adding anything in the first place.

It's funny how an expansion supposedly encouraging specialisation, sets back those of us who specialised in capital ships by effectively nullifying 30+ days of our training. I could have Fighters 5 by now, but nope, had to train now useless BSV. And of course, that's £30 of sub money wasted too.

i for one approve of all proposed changes to the skill que although i would recomend CCP add at least 1 more T1 destroyer to make the destroyer class a bit more attractive to useing and skilling through.

as for the ship tiers dieing, i am all for it and cant wait for the ships to be properly balanced on ship role rather than ship teir.

folks who were bitching on the ship change dev blog never read through the whole thing anyway even when it said not only in the blog but SEVRAL times in the threadnaught that ensued that if you could fly it before hand you will be able to fly it afterwards also.

So what you are saying is that you are not bitching about losing something but you are bitching about other people gaining some? That's some quality character traits you are displaying there, good sir.

He is bitching that he lost 30 days of training time taking BS to level 5 instead of 4, when he does not, and never did, intend to fly a BS. I happen to agree, because once I got into capships I said goodbye to BS, and I would never have trained BS to 5 even when I did fly them because I don't feel the bonus is worth 30 days on a ship I'm not gonna keep flying.

Guess I just have to look forward to Blops, unless that requirement is getting lowered too, in which case BS 5 is completely worthless to me.

Edit: and no, no ragequitting or tantrums here, but I do hope they just give everyone a one time respec due to the skill system overhaul.

i agrea on that on bro but, can you stop the forum warriors here? no no you can not.

The rage is easy to explane. And difficult to mixs. Every old eve gamer like to fixs OLD and NEW bugs inside eve online..
The dont care about new STUFF. The want a FIXS. Now new players in the other hand want NEW STUFF. Like the WIS project. And thats the hole problem. CCP thinks we do all off this but when WIS update the feel like (old eve players) that the are forgotten. This is how the rage start... And many off us thinks we can say what we like but if you read the user agreement you know CCP do whatever the like to do on THERE game and the game is NOT US.

20000 people old eve players leave 20000 new players will play its marketing. Eve can stick with the old game or move on and try to get eve in a better view.... Sorry bad grammar iam not english not even close...

I've spotted at least five of the people on this thread claiming to be "mature adults" complaining about these updates...

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.
