Plantains is looking for like-minded individuals to join our lovely little corp. We're a mixed US/EU tz corp with pretty equal representation from both sides of the Atlantic, and we make our home in a pretty quiet Minmatar highsec system close to a market hub, with a few lvl 4 mission agents, and lots of asteroid-filled neighbouring systems.



We're looking for:

• People Interested in Small-Gang Pvp

We usually hop into lowsec a few to several times a week depending on how busy people are, with ships ranging from T1 frigates, over various advanced Cruisers, to Battlecruisers being used. PvP experience and skillpoints doesn't terribly matter; all corp members are very welcome to come along for the fun, and we have a ship replacement program in place for newer players to make ship losses less of a barrier. Our philosophy is simply to have fun, mess around on Mumble, and learn from our mistakes so we're more likely to kill than be killed.



• People Interested in Incursions and Missions

When we first made the corp we primarily made money by doing lvl 4 missions together both for the corp and ourselves, but then we heard about the awesomeness that is Incursions. While quite a few of us can fly either Logistic- or Incursion viable Battleships and have already been doing Incursions for a while, we don't yet have enough people to form a complete Plantains team which is something we'd very much like to do.
For newer players and people just not interested in Incursions we still do lvl 4 missions together in our lovely home system where we have access to two agents.



• Active People

Goes without saying I suppose but we just don't want people who don't log on for weeks after joining, never chat on Mumble, and never really participate in corp events. We don't have any fixed requirements of course; we just want people who are reasonably active and have the time to play EVE when the rest of corp is most active.

We offer:

• Ship Replacement

We genuinely do want everyone to be able to participate in our lowsec roams, so to help new players along we pretty much reimburse all T1 ship losses, within reason of course. We fund it through our 8% tax rate by doing missions and running Incursions together.



• Friendly and Open Group of People to Play With

Yea I know, you always hear about these amazing and active communities which then turn out to be either inactive, unsocial, or just silent as graves. Not here. The whole purpose of a true mmo (of which EVE is one of the few left) is to play with other people, get to know each other, and have fun playing through the content together. Whether it's the occasional mining op, missions, Incursions, or lowsec roams we always try and prefer to do things together, and that combined with everybody always chilling on Mumble is, we've found, a good foundation for a nice community. Also, most of us are friends on Steam and regularly play other games like WoT, LoL and Minecraft when we're not messing around in EVE (have our own Minecraft server as well).

Our Goals:

Primary goal is simply to have fun, play through the game together and hopefully make a few friends along the way. Currently we're focusing primarily on lowsec roams and Incursions but have plans, once the corp has grown enough and we've gotten sufficiently used to general pvp and lowsec mechanics, to find our own little spot in lowsec and set up a permanent base there. Beyond that we'd also like to try and live in nullsec eventually but we're not in any rush, especially with all the terrible pet and renter alliances out there.

A plantain is a fruit, but considered a vegetable. When green, they are bland and starchy, much like a yucca root or potato. Medium ripe plantains are yellow or yellow dappled with black, and they are slightly sweet. When the skins have turned almost black, the plantains are fully ripe, aromatic and sweet.
